Can someone help me? What is a song with the lyrics "There's no justice in this world today.....", that line repeats probably several times. I know in the beginning of the song she says "start to rediscover".........then eventually, I think she's saying "hold me", maybe "never let me go"......not sure who it is, I used to hear it on retail store overhead around 1993/94

I always loved this song by Brenda Russell. Oleta Adams' cover is good, but this is the version that I heard first and fell in love with. It'll always be my favorite. I prefer Russell over Adams, I guess it all comes down to a matter of personal taste. No criticism intended regardlees of your choice. Both are fine singers with trememdous talent unlike the artist of the past 10 yrs or so. It's sad that record companies aren't seeking or promoting the talents of artist like Russell and Adams.

Kudos to Brenda Russel for her rendition of this beautiful song.

I prefer Brenda Russel's version than that of Oleta Adams because the former is sang much livelier a jazz version and full of inspiration than the remake. In addition, the musical direction is much better and the musical instruments too.

Yes, Oleta may have a more powerful voice than Brenda, but Brenda sang it with so much passion and by heart. Oleta's version is boring that everytime I hear it, I want to cover my ears.

@luvsorte personally i only like the first 1:30 of both version and bcuz oleta has a better range and personally i think in that 1:30 more emotion i prefer her version but the rest i think lets the perfect intro to any song way down.
