Actually the song was engineered so that the guitars would sound like bagpipes. A lot of Scot and Irish punk bands are doing that today.. but Big Country started it. =)

Reminds me of my Irish grandfather .. I know they are Scotish but the celtic sounding bagpipes are amazing. I just close my eyes and I imagine going to Ireland and visiting the village my Grandfather's mother came from and meeting distant relatives. One day I will make that trip for my grandfather!
