Thanks for posting!!! This was about two years before my first ever trip to WDW. I can't imagine what It must have been like to carry a video camera around in 1992!
@DZNYWorld not too bad. it was a camcorder. This must have been my hi8 camcorder. It looked like a large 35 mm camera with a large lens. It was my favorite. i just replaced it because they made a smaller one, then smaller yet.
Man oh man this bring back memories! I suddenly had the urge to see if this was on here. I remember it all. It's really a shame to think Darkwing and Chip and Dale (in RR attire) isn't in the parks anymore....when I last went down and Chip and Dale were walking by in passing I yelled "Go Rescue Rangers" and Chip gave a big thumbs up. So the people in the costumes know their stuff.
but I gotta ask, was this in the tent thats in MTTF now?
@SlayerdudeMark Wow, I'm 15 & grew up with these epic shows (through Toon Disney) & I just found out DW & the RR were as Disney World (through this vid). I feel angry at Disney now. They couldn't of kept these shows classics like they did with their original cartoons?
@magicalthemeparks: The voice of Mickey Mouse from the mid-1970's to 2009, after Jimmy MacDonald stopped voicing in the early 1970's (MacDonald took over for Walt himself in the 40's).
Aw this is so cool! I saw this when I was three (we have the same show recorded on tape minus the Roger Rabbit part - which I assume is because we went Summer 1993) and it was so awesome to see it again! Oh man I miss these tv shows... :(
Those of us who were kids during this time know that this is when cartoons were at there best. Now they are just dumb.
Disney could really reestablish themselves as the best in the market if they would just relaunch this block of shows. Start by airing the originals, then air new episodes of them.
I'd love it if my kids could grow up on them like I did.
Does anybody have a video of that show (I'm a big Gadget fan). If not can anybody tell me what she did in the show. This show is the show I saw when I went on the disney trip. Wonderful times.
Well, in the original Gadget had the TNT plunger with her when she came out with Chip n' Dale, and I belive she was the one who blasted the vault open.
Also in the original the computer didn't rap or talk either;I remember CJ pressing a button on it to call Chip, Dale, and Gadget.
It was in summer 1991. Darkwing Duck wasn't even on yet at the time, I guess they must have updated the show in the sometime after the Darkwing cartoon permiered, which would have been fall '91.
My mistake. I saw it in summer 1990 (I just remembered our trip was when Universal opened). That also explains why TaleSpin wasn't in the show either when I saw it because *it* hadn't premiered yet.
Haha.. Well, that's up to everyone's imagination. ^_^ To little kids, I don't think it matters since seeing them huge is like "wooow". At least that was for me when I was little.
No. Well, the voices are done by them but they're all pre-recorded. Everyone in the suits are CMs (Cast Members) and they must follow along with the recording by acting it out. This is a standard for Disney shows in their parks and on ice.
@Dragonrider1227: Gadget was in the original show, with the Gummi Bears. When TaleSpin and Darkwing premeired, they replaced the Gummi Bears and Gadget.
Mickey's Birthday land ;], and yeah they dont make stuff liek this AT ALL. I truely miss it im 19 and feel old since im watching this and remembering it ;\.
This show was done in the same building that is now the judges tent. The entire building was converted to house characters and a retail store when the land changed for the last time. This land went through severel name changes, Mickey's Birthday Land, Mickeys Star Land, and finally Mickeys Toon Town Fair.

I actually remember Gadget being in the very first version of this show, which also had the Gummi Bears instead of Darkwing Duck.

The one in the video is the one I saw back in the early 90's. maybe 1991-1992? What year did you see this?

So It must have been 1992 when I've seen this show, because on January 2nd, 1994, the show changed.

It was in Mickey's Starland, which is where Mickey's Toon Town is now. I think it was where the judges tent is now.
