I'd love to be able to find it but wasn't there a British Bulldog VS Vader match in WCW - which ended with Sid Justice and Sting getting involved at the very end? I saw it on ITV as a wee kid in the 90's. It'd be nice if someone was able to upload the match to youtube :)
Marcus Alexander Bagwell at his most beautiful. I will never forget watching him during this period as a kid. He was one of my first, if you know what I mean.
Bagwell was an entertaining wrestler at times, but he was no match for Vader, who was the MAN. I take great pleasure in seeing Vader choke slam Bagwell at the end of the match.

Yes he is! This was back in the days when Marcus Alexander Bagwell was also known as the "Pretty Boy Redneck"!! And you could see why. He was the hottest muscle boy jobber. Bigger wrestlers used to squash him all the time. Thank God Vader did not eat him!
I agree. Vader is probably the toughest legit wrestler there was. The guy wrestled when his eye popped out of its socket. A true ring monster. He would bulldoze over guys like Goldberg, Lesnar, or any other pretender without any problem. What WWF did with him was a mockery. He could have legitimately destroyed every wrestler they had there if he wanted to.
Man, I would loved to have seen a Vader-Dynamite Kid match. DK was another extremely & legitimately tough wrestler.
@wtcvidman Dynamite would have been squashed in that match lol.. he'd bounce off Vader trying to drop kick him.. unless it was in the WWF.. then he'd somehow get the snap suplex on him and pin him
In WCW I think Dynamite would get squashed. Then again Davey Boy pinned Vader in WCW at least once that I saw (with a crucifix) but it was a non title match or perhaps that tag match at Beach Blast when Sting was his partner. I know they had at least 3 matches---one at Slamboree, one at the August 93 Clash, and one on Worldwide that I have on tape. But I wonder what would've happened in a shoot style match between Vader & Dynamite.
We don't know the details of that altercation, like if Orndorff got the first shot unexpectedly. Then again, Orndorff himself is a tough guy. I won't say that Vader is overrated based on a backstage event. I'd have to see a shoot match between the 2.
I didn't get to see this match until recently. It was the first time WCW Worldwide aired in the UK on ITV on Saturday afternoon (They'd just stopped airing WCW Pro late night during the week) and it was titled as "wrestling" in the paper so I didn't know it was WCW.
Anybody know where I can get the theme Vader was using at the time? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
i live in England,we were about 1 month behind u guys, although i did visit Texas in summer 1992 where i used to watch WCW on saturdays around 9am in the morning,i cant remember the channel though.
Ventura is my favorite commentator (out of the face & heel commentators). Other great heel commentators I like are Heenan, Curt Hennig, and Rick Rude in ECW. Though Rude started off in ECW as a face commentator & turned heel. Three out of those 4 are from Minnesota. I guess there's something about that state that produces good commentators (and wrestlers), LOL. Scott Hall when he was in the nWo & sober was also pretty good as a heel commentator when the nWo took over the booth.

2:52 - Amazing to watch Bagwell's body jolt on the mat after the brutal splash. and then to see him lying motionless is the topper.

Frightening choke-slam from Vader on Bagwell, and then what a beautiful missile dropkick on Vader from Sting...
I wish I could watch this stuff all over again every week. Beats the crap off TNA and WWE.

WCW probably could have survive with the return of Vader. Vader would have smacked around Bagwell again & take care of Goldberg'z no sellin'.
