  • Awww

  • This is what I always mean when the batman and superman flame war starts. They care and respect each other, they wont say it out loud (its a thing called subtlety) they are probaly the closet friends in any comic book universe. Batman disagrees with Sups by the book style and Superman disagrees with bats style, that doesnt mean their enemies! I like Superman cause I find him more original now (cause everyone has to be dark and subtle) and it makes for awesome team ups a clash of dark and light.

  • Superman:Batman::Yin:Yang

  • Which episode is this from?

  • sometimes i feel like the maid, ya know? i just cleaned up this mess! can we keep it clean for ten minutes?!

  • Batman's sad because his dog has died.

  • @MistaGify what?

  • what ep was this from ?

  • @Vince3k Hereafter. Great episode.

  • DC has Superman and Batman while Marvel has Captain America and Iron Man. HOLY CRAP, THE SIMILARITIES!

  • @nintendogamer75 well a bit but superman and batman were made first i luv dc more

  • Just when hes about to say something nice for once...lol

  • Batman's getting soft in his old age

  • @KennyG881 All men get soft in their old age, though...maybe he can get some batviagra.

  • Wow...the one time we see Batman paying his respects....a villian starts destroying the town.. GREAT TIMING

  • @Greendude11green i am not saying he is selfish but he started out because of selfish reasons wanting revenge but he cudnt get it so he decided to do something about it tjat is why batman is such such a dark and hard character

  • @hellsangelbitch He's not vengeful at all. His parents died when he was very young, and it was too dark to make out the killer. When Batman thinks of that man, he doesn't think of him as a man, but as crime itself. If it was vengeance he wanted, he'd have stopped when the murderer was caught. He doesn't hate people, he hates their actions and intent - it's why he hasn't executed the Joker yet.

  • @Izayoiaki24 He actually was vengeful till Superman showed him another way. If you pay attention Superman stopped Batman's inner rage from killing a lot of people.

  • @hellsangelbitch i found the guy who killed them his name was chill in some comics he kills him but n most he almot klls him but then is like this i not right and this is not wat batman stands for so he puts chill in jail. he didnt become batman for him self but so what happened to him never happens to anyone elsa.

  • @Greendude11green actually batman paying his respects alone makes things blow up from sheer badassness

  • I want to see the full episode

  • "Despite our differences, I think you're full of shit. Also, my black underpants are better than your red underpants because they look more masculine."

  • Aww Bruce. You do care!

  • wha episode was this?

  • @Piscean117 Hereafter.

  • @FranksWarJournal thanks :)

  • Can someone tell me what this clip is from? Thanks

  • i wanted him to cry

superman is better cos he is a hero selflessly batman wants revenge

  • @hellsangelbitch Actually, Batman is pretty selfless. He doesn't do what he does for revenge. He wants to prevent anyone else from going through what he had to go through.

  • @kittiekat10105 Now THAT'S the REAL batman ;D.

  • Damn it. Villains had to ruin a good speech

  • AWWWWWWWW!!! how sweet! *sniff* but the end was FUNNY!!!!!!!!

  • hahaha his change in tone at the end, I LOVE IT!

he goes from slightly emotional to... "GAAAAH! I JUST WANTED A FEW MOMENTS TO TALK TO MY FRIEND'S MEMORIAL. IS THAT SO HARD A THING TO ASK FOR?!?!" :)

  • JLA made Batman out to be so campy

  • i always wondered wat happens if batman meets the punisher or superman meets thor

  • batman is like "the question" just not as extreme haha

  • batman ya yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • lol i havent seen the series though but i bet superman faked his death

  • @Max1351o He was sent into the future. Not faked his death

  • wat episode

  • so doomsday kill superman how the hell did he came back?

  • @nansote toyman killed him and he wasn't really dead just sent to the future

  • @nansote in this series, doomsday never killed him. In the comics... a krptonian machine called the eradicator brought him back to life using the stored energy in Superman to do it...somehow. Though he ended up confused and thought it was superman.

  • superman you're the best superhero. R.I.P

  • Bats and Supes needed EACH OTHER. Without Superman showing Bruce the gentler touch and showing him the more righteous path, Batman would have killed...a lot of people. Without Batman, Superman would still be as naive and easy to manipulate as he was fresh from Kansas.

  • @badboi0717 Batman is all about not killing, you know given the fact he watched as his parents were murdered. If he was able to kill people, the Joker would've been dead day one.

  • @THNF89 I feel Batman would have been driven to that point where he kills people eventually. Then again, this is speculation.

  • @badboi0717 No because he's the FREAKING BATMAN! He's dealt with insanity and PTSD after seeing a lot of crap that would make other "superheroes" vomit and he's bitch-slapped it all in the face.

You stare into the void, and it stares back, but then batman stares into the void and the void kind of backs up a little.

  • @arandomperson3 I...I said this was speculation. I'm not speaking on "facts" just what I feel.

  • @arandomperson3 lmao i laughed at the void comment

  • @arandomperson3 And yet if you read the comics, Superman's "death" affected Batman as much as his parents deaths. They are friends, going so far to privately admit to themselves that the other is like a brother they never had. Its in the books, learn about it.

  • @arandomperson3 batman stares into the void, and the void says "whoa man personal space!", then batman says "WHERES THE JOKER?!!"

  • Batman is the justice in the darkness and Superman is the hope in the light

  • This pretty much proves ( I think ) that Superman has always been the light to Batman's dark...and vice-versa. One can't really exist without the other...or can they(?)...Anyway, I <3 this scene and always will. This just shows that even Batman is starting to be affected by Supes's death...although it turns out he was right in the end!

  • This shows just how human Batman really is.

  • what episode

  • I thinks it's been established Batty and Suppy are both awesome heroes.

  • Superman is the Egocentric Portrait .... and nothing more... poeple needed him to "confort" something they lost in their lives.

  • @MalGaniz clark kent egocentric ? fuck you ! am i enough clear, asshole ? kal el is so devoted to the others. he always want to help.

  • SUPERMAN will ALWAYS be the GREATEST too, both him AND batman, especially since HE'S the one that showed BATMAN the LIGHT. Peace.

  • @joejar5 They both will always be, and he is pretty much the light to Batman's dark.

  • Future Comment: I actually find this moment VERY sweet, even if it turned out superman WASN'T dead after all, Batman still took the time to let out his TRUE DEEP buried feelings for Superman and even admitted and took the whole scene away when he said "You showed me that justice doesn't always have to come from the DARKNESS." That was the DEEPEST thing he ever said about superman, it also shows that they had such a close bond, just like BROTHERS. Batman is the DUDE!! Peace.

  • Batman will forever be the best thing ever to come out from a comic book.

  • @VoiceActorDreamer ....that's a big call...

  • @Roper122 Nah, he's the Godamn Batman.

  • "What did you always call it, Clark? The neverending battle?"

No, my good Bat, I call it suckish timing! ^_^

  • Check out PALADINM93 channel, he has Justice League videos!

  • Batman: I'll miss...BANG!!!....Damn it! I'm trying to give a heartfelt soliloquy for my fallen friend over here!

  • i love the episodes with that immortal guy

  • What episode was this from? Someone tell me please? :)

  • @AIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA The Hereafter

  • joker must be so lucky to have an antogonist like batman <3

  • "We've lost their trust. The people are afraid of us! Power corrupts afterall, and WHO has more power than SUPERMAN!?" Justice Lord Superman on HIS OWN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE self.

I don't think Superman is this "perfect" super hero everybody thinks he is, I like it when writers display the faults of him, so he's less perfect than Silver Age. There's so many problems with his powers, and his own alternate self comments on it, its one of his many guilt trips

  • @Momentum139 That wasn't justice lord superman, that was luthor brainiac's duplicate. That was good line though, and the flash had a good one too. Both flash and superman had certain hang ups they dealt with during that fight but the flash just punch a hole through his evil counter part. Superman didn't get to do that, I think wonder woman stepped in to fight his.

  • Ha ha I like how he wrapped that up.

  • I have a major respect for the JL and JLU, (the TV shows).

They have great writers! Also because of the JL shows, I started to like DC a little bit more than Marvel. I I was a collector of Spiderman comics as a kid, and now I believe the Batman had the treatment and the respect that this character deserves.

  • Superman is a great hero (this is coming from a batman fan). He is everything that is good in the world. He is the light, the beacon in the dark. Comparing him and Batman is like comparing night and day. Similar yet extremely different. Too quote Batman himself "Superman is the best at what he does.......NOT at what I do!"

  • Comment removed

  • @dkswede oooooooooooooooo it just hit me! the expression 'dense light' started with superman because he is dense :D ok i'll stop now since im just being mean, but i just couldn't resist saying it once i thought it up ^^

  • The reason why Batman didn't go to Superman's funeral is probably because anything anyone else said about Superman would have sounded like crap compared to something Batman would say

  • I miss you more then Joel Schumaucher missed the mark

When he made Batman and Robbin

I miss you more than that movie missed the point

And thats an awful lot Clark

And now, now youve gone away

And all Im trying to say is

Batman and Robbin sucked, and I miss you.

  • Say "I'll miss you"! say it!

    lol

  • i think batman meant to say your the greatest super hero ever

  • well personally i have no problem with vulgar idiots like you prefering superman over batman. its actually a good thing

  • @ghoulliver257

Says the vulgar idiot who prefers Batman. ;D

  • @KennethMoreland hey, its not vulgar if its true ^^ then its simply being honest :P

  • @ghoulliver257 bull

  • @ghoulliver257 im not vulgar,, and i prefer superman!

  • @ghoulliver257, why are we vulgar? -_-...

  • @Chimera1591 m8, i hope you noticed i made that comment more than a year ago :P i no longer remember what i was refering to back then. although it was probably a classic argument about who is better, batman or superman and i can imagine that the superman supporters ended up being vulgar, hence my comment

  • @ghoulliver257, Right, not here to argue, just wondering why it can't be that some people like a bright, charismatic and optimistic hero while others like the dark brooding type. No need to call names. =)

  • @Chimera1591 well for what its worth, they insulted me first :P hmm personally im wondering how people can prefer a dull, near unbeatable, overpowered boyscout with a liiiiiittle more intellect than the hulk, over a self-sacrificing, highly intelligent hero/detective who has no super powers but still manages to beat his enemies, often using his wit and sharp tongue instead of brute force. but i guess its a matter of taste ^^

  • @ghoulliver257, Well, Superman isn't dull. His powers make him very exciting. Superman is near unbeatable, but it's not because he's overpowered, it's because of his will and dedication to fighting for what's right in the world that makes him unbeatable. Again, Superman isn't overpowered. Overpowered means he's stronger than everyone he faces. Superman rouge gallery is actually filled with villains who can give him a decent fight By the term overpowered, one can say the same for Batman.

  • @ghoulliver257He's stronger, smarter and faster than most of his villains. That's overpowered by definition. And Superman is a boy-scout, yes, but he's not afraid to get down and slug it out with someone. You're also MASSIVELY misinformed on his intellect. He's actually smarter than Batman. His mind processes information at levels vastly superior to the average human being.

  • @ghoulliver257, The only human smarter than him is Lex Luthor. Lex is the smartest man on Earth, that's why he's a formidable opponent for the man of steel. You completely miss out on who Superman is. He's the definition of a self-sacrificing hero. You have to read The Death of Superman arc to know what I mean.

  • @Chimera1591 no point in spamming m8, you're not going to change my mind :P as im not gonna change yours ^^ plus, youre just proving my point, if superman is both strong and smart then he really is overpowered... he can even use hypnosis....... in any case, i prefer characters who are more realistic and offer more depth. apart from the protagonist, in batman each villain has his own personal agenda. in superman everyone is obsessed with destroying or conquering either the earth or the universe

  • @ghoulliver257, Right, not trying to make you say Superman is better than Batman, that's preference. But you have to show some respect to the original superhero. He doesn't have hypnosis anymore, that was retconned. And yes, Batman has an impressive rouge (Joker and Bane are among my favorites), but Superman's rouges aren't all out to destroy the world or conquer it. Lex Luthor believes that Superman is the villain and that he's hindering humanity for instance.

  • @Chimera1591 respect? weird word to use for a fictional character m8 :P he doesnt? i thought he used hypnosis to hide the fact that he was clark. if hes not using it anymore, doesnt that mean that everyone will find out who he is? i think lex luthor sees superman more as a hindrange :P he wants to rule the world right? so that puts him in the same category more or less. cant say i really liked the villains of superman. i suppose darkside is ok but other than that..

  • @ghoulliver257, Without Superman there are no superheroes, especially Batman. He was modeled from Superman. And no, most of Superman's powers were retconed in '86. Luthor sees Superman as a hinderance. He thinks that humanity is too reliant on Superman and it would lead to our de-evolution. He's smart enough to cure cancer and AIDs, but he's believes that until he kills Superman, he can't better mankind because his efforts would go to waste because we wont appreciate it.

  • @ghoulliver257 Kid, please....

  • @DarPower1 you know, for someone who loves to debate, you are strangely brief :P

  • @ghoulliver257 Because explaining to 1000 only to have a million not understand and use this kryptonite excuse makes it futile after awhile.

  • @DarPower1 who cares about the stupid kryptonite? :P a rare stone that only lex luthor can get his hands on is not a freakin weakness. it just exists so that no one can say that superman is invinsible

  • @ghoulliver257 Im aware. Yet Batman fans, despite the fact that in Superman Movies and Cartoons and Comics eventually resisted or destroyed Kryptonite, they tend to use cartoons not based soley or at all about Superman and site those as reasons why he can be so easily defeated. It retarded. Except for 'Batman the Brave and the Bold' Logically the writters arent gonna have Superman just slap it out of his hand. They gotta power him down so that hes weak, so inconsistant.

  • @ghoulliver257 I think Superman in 'Superman Last Son' when talking to Lex Luthor about helping him to defeat the Kyptonian invasion said it best.

"You've made alll these weapons and Kyptonite, thousands of ways to destroyed and you've attacked......but why am i still here." Good point, because Kyptonite isnt some 'end all be all' rock. Its a way to show that Superman can get beat down with more than just powers. Why would the field alternate for Batman, it wouldnt....at all.

  • @DarPower1 yup completely agree on that point

  • @ghoulliver257 don't forget magic

  • Alright, just one question, whats this episode called. Its not in the description, and every time someone asks it gets marked as spam. So really, just answer me, whats the episode called?

  • It's called Hereafter, Season 2 Episodes 19-20

  • Hereafter

  • why's superman dead?

  • he is not.

he got hit by time teleportation ray and people think he got obliterated.

  • "what did you always call it clark? A never ending battle?"

    Gotta love Batman!

  • lmfao!

  • praise Lord and life

  • I would have loved for someone to hear him and say...so superman was named clark? lol

  • ahaha batman is so awesome! he always gets to things before anyone else ever does i loved this episode! :D

    i♥bats!

  • @SexyKitten200 what episode is this? i've never seen it

  • @Falloutboyfan1000

Oh it's JL from Season 2, called Hereafter.

  • weres a full video

  • "What did you always call it Clark? The never ending battle?" I don't know why but that line really amused me. Thanks for uploading this clip.

  • Sort of reminds me of the comic book after Robin's death: "Save me your Boy Scout sentiments, Kent."

  • Robin dies?

  • About twenty years ago. Batman: A Death in the Family.

    Sorry, I'm old.

  • Wow. I'm really behind. Thanks for informing me.

  • Yeah. The Robin that died was Jason Todd. Joker killed him. He just recently came back to life a few years ago as the Red Hood.

  • They used to say "Nobody stays dead in comic books except Uncle Ben and Jason Todd". Well...at least Uncle Ben is still dead....

  • HAHAHAHAH. You made my day XDD.

  • I remember when that sentence also included Barry Allen...

  • @neviusprime Well now that Disney holds the reigns don't be too surprise if that changes.

  • @SmeetsWT The second one, he's never been animated before the writes use either Dick Greyson or Tim, completely side stepping the unfortunate fate of Jason.

  • The never-ending battle! rofl!

Even at his grave....batman feels a need to wisecrack with sup!

(lol because they always did that!)

  • Lol, " What did you use to call it Clark? The never battle? " plus with his facial expression at first. It was just priceless lol.

  • *never - ending battle?"

sorry for my improper grammar D:

  • This duo is the best. They both respect each other.Supes is open in admitting it but bats doesn't do it.Its his style. But a great scene whatsoever.

  • you can say whatever you like about batman. but when it comes down to it. if super man really did die. who else could lead the justice leauge besides batman?...........be honest wit yaself and think real hard about it

  • I think he already leads the JL in some way. Superman is the cahmpion and everyone "looks up" to him, so he's officially the leader, but all the relations are dealed by the martian and all the logistic and strategic parts are dealed by Batman. And, who has the last word when it comes to important decisions?

    :D

  • Probably the first time Batman openly mourned one of his fallen friends or family, a very moving moment.

  • batman also showed a caring emotion when he thought wonder woman had died when she tried to stop a ship or missle from hitting the ground and blowing up. he started trying to dig her out lol. that's one thing that pissed me off in the comics is that they teased a batman/wonder woman hook up but it never happened.

  • oh even the writters admited that thee was something special between wonderwoman and batman

  • i bought a comic because it showed those 2 holding hands on the cover. in it woder woman used some kinda machine to see waht the future might hold if those 2 got together. one showed them on olympus, bruce looked about 70, she looked the same of course. another showed batman being killed by joker, the she killed joker. one had bruce in a suit of armor all happy and normal. the last one showed her in a batwoman costume with him fighting crime in gotham

  • wow that sounds like a cool issue, any idea what title/issue number it was?

    JAG2045

  • that was actually.......kind of nice.

  • it was such a solemn moment Bats was about to cry and then BOOM

  • They're the best...

  • Cool scene. And I never got to watch this story's second part... blast it. Anyway, thanks for the post.

  • what episode was this? (in justice league?)

  • Hereafter

  • wow the great batman pays his respects to

supes. finally, always thinking he's better and he is not. no matter what frank miller writes. even here, what 20 seconds for the greatest ever? wow, thanks bruce timm.

  • he said he repsects superman......duh!! and vice versa. everyone knows that superman has 2 weaknesses and batman has exploited them both and thats why he's beaten superman more times than superman has beaten him.

  • ratedtriplex, if Superman beats Batman, he

would kill him easily, m'kay. the only reason

Bats ever defeats him is because Superman lets

it happen. If he ever wanted to truely defeat

Bats, there's no way Bruce could stop him &

he knows it. Still, this was one of the better

moments in JLU show's history- still I wish

    it was bit longer...

  • i wouldn't use the word "LET". more like superman doesn't do what is necessary to beat him and that's why he loses. if the roles were reversed, and batman had the powers, superman would be in a coma. batman said it best: "deep down clarks a good person and deep down i'm not". a batman with supermans powers would be very scary for everyone, not just criminals.

  • Was it from "Hush"? When they fight each other because Superman was poisoned by Ivy and Batman points out that Supes isn't using iperspeed?

  • yeah batman commented that even while they were fighting, superman was trying to fight off poison ivy's influence and that he was holding back as much as he could. batman had a kryptonite ring and went to town on superman as much as he could without breaking his hand.

  • no, superman has blatant said in the books that he is pissed at how batman beats him up with his little toys when hes nothing but a man, who gets to stay alive because Superman lets him. this was all b4 Supes basically pimpslaps him into the side of the batmobile

  • yeah, that was a different superman whose views about things had been altered because life on his earth had been wiped out .yeah, he had a chip on his shoulder, he beat up batman AND current timeline superman. if u'd read my other commets u'd realize u're saying basically the same thing i am. superman WONT do what he as to to beat batman. and a batman with supermans powers is a very scary man, supes also called bats the most dangerous man on the planet. why? because he'll do what he has to do.

  • and i also read the stroy where batman got supes powers, did you know how that ended. he went bat-shit crazy, pardon the pun, beat up nightwing and catwoman until Superman, without powers beat him. he tricked him into thinking his parents were alive again and then even took a punch from super-batman so he could switch his powers back to him. Batman with superman's powers falls apart. Batman coulnt handle the power, he was too weak willed.

  • batman's anything but weak willed crazy yeah, weak willed no.

  • @TeknomanScimitar well the writers saw how much more popular batman was to superman so they decided to throw superman a bone it was the tax deductable charity they did for the year
