  • @EricPulgarin Because this is a cooking channel, for people who want to learn how to make things in their own kitchen ;)

  • @EricPulgarin The store bought eclairs have low quality ingredients, like artificial flavors and corn syrup. Its a better choice to make your own homemade eclairs.

  • @EricPulgarin Its always better when you make it yourself!!

  • Please can u do a video on macarons?

  • @hulahoolaXx Funny you should mention it, I've got a macaroons video coming up in a few weeks ;)

  • @johnleisurely69 Ahhh ok LOL I feel like a knob now hahaha :P

  • @OnePotChefShow Actually they said that they eat all of the food they make. It just lasts a week, and they have a bunch of them to help eat it all.

  • @OnePotChefShow Dont feel bad EpicMealTime are great at what they do but your a Family type based cook and are here to show people (like me) how to cook at home =)

  • @johnleisurely69 It's hard to compare me to EpicMealTime. I make actual recipes, they just waste food for entertainment ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow yeah but you have to admit epicmealtime is funny and some recipes look delicious (and unhealthy of course) haha im subscribed to both for you I get real recipes for them I get my fill of bacon

  • i just love eclairs! MOUTH WATERING

  • could you just put in whipped cream? like the ones in the can? lol

  • @reeree625 If you want, but I think the vanilla cream in the recipe is much nicer ;)

  • Whoa...best shortcut ever! Looks so delicious, thanks! :)

  • Your American friends thank you. XD

  • oh my dear lord.....yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum

  • I can actually make choux pretty well, but i have always had luck with pastries. :) this is an awesome idea though

  • Hey, you are really amazing. I never get tired seeing your videos and the simple and easy way you cook. Congratulations.

  • I think its Belgian , not french ? Maybe i'm wrong... Don't know XD

  • @MrSuperkidbuu Visit youtube (dot) com / partners and apply ;)

  • you have pretty eyes.

  • One pot Chef, you rock man, I haven't tried to prepare anything you've made yet, but the videos are great, you have a good demeanor, great manners, and just all around good personality. I hope you do well, you seem very passionate about cooking and it's good to see someone who's passionate who enjoys teaching too. Just wanted to give some words of encouragement.

  • Hey I tried to make this with 35% whipping cream and it came out too liquidy....

Not sure which cream to buy.

  • @sSoloW If it's whipping cream, you'll need to whip it (with a whisk) until it's thick ;)

  • One pot chef rocks!!! (i said that a few times, still not tired of saying it again :-) )

    One pot chef rocks!!!

  • what is analternative for the buiscits you used? I live in Norway and we dont have them here :(

  • Yeah how did you get that eyecolour?

  • @vasemedroserii A combination of genetics and good lighting :)

  • @OnePotChefShow Hehe you mean good genetics! :-) Because it's beautiful!

  • Yum!

  • They look devine for sure... I'll have 1 with some nice hot brewed coffee please!

    lol

  • ehh !

  • Thick cream - In for a penny, in for a pound ;D

  • Beautiful eyes

  • My god that is genius! I never thought of something as simple as using sponge fingers to make chocolate eclairs, and they look great too. Thanks so much OPC for sharing this great recipe.

  • I made real chocolate eclairs once, and it wasn't hard. Here in America, I've never heard of sponge fingers. xoxo

  • -Drools- my childhood fave @_@

and ill be making an batch of those this week @_@

  • I just love you and this idea. But please don`t think making "real" eclairs is hard work.

Here in Germany children in school learn how to make them in home economics. At least we did 20 years ago.

  • YAMIIIIIIII!!

  • How about vanilla or strawberry eclairs?

  • great video man- keep them coming...thanks!

  • Could you mail some of those over here to the US for me? :D lol Looks good!

  • I love watching these videoes xD whilst they make everyone else hungry, they actually make me fed up for some odd reason xD

  • You are an absolute genius!!! .... I am so going to make this today !!!

  • You sir, are a genius.

  • by the way mr chef, can vanilla essence be eaten "raw" like tht ? tht's my only concern but other than that they look amazing :))

  • @lacecraze Vanilla Essence doesn't need to be cooked - so no need to worry ;)

  • yes, tht's why i love mr one pot chef! keep it up please mister i looove how yummy all the food are, and i can feel the warmth from you too :) take care!

  • I hate you! (In a good way, if that's possible)

  • @hassoun6 LOL I get that a lot :)

  • I want these, right now! But of course I just ate dinner and don't have the sponge fingers handy :(

  • @natalie1605 I hope you give these a go sometime - you'll love them :)

  • looks like 6 people dont like eclairs

  • @KKoderz 6 people are Patisserie Chefs :P

  • i dont know

  • @Darline211 Neither do I :P

  • Thanks David for two videos this week! Love that.

  • @jillmdejesus If all goes well, it'll be the new normal schedule :)

  • @DyleAlano09 To be honest, it would be easier and cheaper to buy them for this recipe ;)

  • Sooooo easy!!! By the way love the poached eggs!!! Love the way you make every recepie so easy!!! Kisses from Mexico, can you make a carrot cake??

  • @gladyse85 I'll add it to the possible future recipe list ;)

  • ^^ Oh they look so good~ And I've heard that Pate a Choux is a little difficult to make. I will never be a pastry chef, ever! There's too much for my brain to handle :P

  • @HybridHumanSquid I don't blame you! I gave up on Choux pastry years ago - it's just too easy to mess up. Best to leave it to the lucky few who can make it flawlessly every time :)

  • @OnePotChefShow Heh heh~ Well, I'm just in school for culinary so I haven't tried my hand at it~ I'd like to try one day ;D

  • i ate this a couple of weeks ago and i didnt like it much hopefully yours is MUCH MUCH better :D

  • @iDummiix3 You'll fall in love with these :)

  • This might actually be the epitome of youtube. straightforward, user created, purposeful, free!

  • @xCelsius451x I'd like to think so :)

  • is there anything else i could use instead of french sponge fingers? they are not sold where i live....thanx so much....

  • @babylove201089 Actually they are Italian, they are also known by the name "Savoriardi" - might be worth asking at your local supermarkets. There really isn't any substitute, short of making the choux pastry (which is why this recipe was made - to avoid that!)

  • I was drinking coffee when watching this, too bad I don't have the stuff to make these =/

  • @theoneelf A quick trip to the shops could fix that... :)

  • I like your hair this way :) and they recipe looks so yummy

  • @maykynize Me too - doesn't get messed up in the wind! :P

  • .... good recipe .. might make it what is your secret?..... i also have a a another family member who adores your work !

  • @bethanya541 Thanks heaps - I'm glad you guys like what I do :)

  • tiramisu sandwish!! yum

  • @Esunshine71 You could add some coffee to the cream mixture and it really would be tiramisu ;)

  • i love you onepotchef!!

  • @irishmanonthecan I love you too :)

  • How delicious! Love your videos & recipes!

  • @ownhomedog Thanks OwnHomeDog - and thanks for watching :)

  • It makes me nervous when people ask can i put rhis can i put that? can't you just try experiment and come up with your variation?

  • @spuogis That would be nice - but I think most of the people who ask are new to cooking and are terrified of making a mistake / wasting ingredients :)

  • @OnePotChefShow With mistakes comes expiriance ;) cooocking is all about experiments ;) like chemistry :DDD

  • Brilliant.

Would it be possible to make the lady fingers crispy? and how would you go about it?

  • @TakanashiYuuji pop them in the toaster maybe? worth a try :) or maybe use shortbread cookies instead of ladyfingers?

  • @TakanashiYuuji The sponges finger biscuits are already crisp on the outside, and soft but firm on the inside. You shouldn't need to crisp them up any more.

  • OMG! so easy! and they look soooo yummy! I want one!!! So those sponge fingers are like ladyfingers right? they look like them, only those ones are bigger and spongier lol... I dont think i could cut ladyfingers like that

  • @anaw1188 I'm not sure what Lady Fingers are (in Australia - a Lady Finger is a type of banana!) so I can't advise :)

  • @OnePotChefShow Well, with that answer I did a little lazy and found that they are the same. Italian Sponge Fingers in Australia = Lady finger in USA (in my country is neither cause I speak spanish but I learned the USA term). Thanks for this recipe by the way (well, all of them actually). I'll stop writing now lol

  • Great shortcut! They look great.

  • @hashmeer0810 Thanks - glad you liked them :)

  • my dream has come true

I LOVE ECLAIRS THANK YOU ALMIGHT GOD OF DELICIOUSNESS

  • @TeoSims LOL now there's a title I could get used too :)

  • @Darline211 I wonder if we have the same cookbook? :)

  • nom nom nom nom! gonna make these! : )

  • @Badzeep I hope you have fun making them :)

  • I think you're a genius! What a delicious cheat. Can't wait to make them! I don't suppose you can think of a cheat for something that tastes of a custard doughnut?

  • @LollieLovesLollies I'll add it to the "research" list :)

  • @OnePotChefShow You're a star! I've done so many of your recipes and they are always well loved.

  • @LushinNickii Thanks - I'm glad you enjoy my videos :)

  • How clever! I'm going to look for that double cream; I've never seen it before but never knew to look for it either. Just thought it was English. Thanks!

  • @thizizliz If you can't find double cream, any cream suitable for whipping will be fine :)

  • NOM NOM NOM :D

  • @IndividuallyLondon Thanks for watching :)

  • OMG!!! I love this. My lard ass wont .. but I will .. hmmmmm :D xx

  • @karmagirl74 Honey, you could eat these once an hour, every hour for the next 5 years and not have a "lard ass" - you got a rock-hard butt that brings all the boys to the yard (Kelis reference ftw!)

  • @OnePotChefShow ... bahahah ... I love you! :D x

  • my mouth just....exploded...i had to keep it g-rated lol

  • @TexasHoldMe87 LOL G-Rated is probably best :P
