  • real trucker right there. I'd love a go on one of these

  • real trucks here in australia..u.s.a drive toy trucks

  • Meanwhile in Australia....

  • There is also roadtrain PT.Adaro owned coal mines in Cape Tabalong, South Kalimantan, Indonesia trailer until empat.PT.Adaro is owned coal mining company Australian businesses

  • damn i mist the exit hahha turn it

  • That's not a U turn, that's a O Turn!

  • o k&%#A

  • @PolskiWojow zdziwiony czy co ?

  • i bet you dont even notice a flat

  • how do they get that into a gas station?

  • @5NOOPY615 A lot of room.

  • @5NOOPY615 They probably unhook each trailer and pull each of them in individually. but thats just my guess

  • @5NOOPY615

IT is the fuel....doesn't need to stop for it

  • @iulixxx but it has to pull into gas stations and put the fuel in the tanks at the gas station

  • @5NOOPY615 more like, how does the gas station get to them?

  • He was texting and missed his turn, damn cell phones

  • Damn, after two I was surprised to see more... I know why I don't see many of these in the U.S.... our motorists are retarded... they'd get eaten up by these things all the time.

  • @norevelation Plus the fact that in the U.S. the roads arent nearly as wide open as they are in Australia

  • is drivin a road train hard becaause i want to do it when i get older

  • Is there a "PARTY" road train?

  • Let me see a three point turn!

  • is that spaced shape fuel

  • ur on the wrong side of the road lol

  • left his lunch at home lol!!!!

  • 1.5 to 2 million dollars worth of fuel.. eazy

  • a problem with road trains is they dont have track to guide each car, making turning a living hell, for this one, its from point A to point B nothing else.

  • hang a youee

  • FAKE.

  • @leonardoporto85 As if you'd know from half the planet away. Look them up, they're real.

  • @anfnifarr WHAT THE FU... THAT'S REAL, MAN. Wow, I never seen one...

  • @leonardoporto85 I see them regularly. They are very, very real.

  • 88 wheels

  • Goodness. I would absolutely Love to drive one of these. I'm currently working on getting my CDL here in the USA. What would I have to do to get a CDL there once I have one here?

  • @dannichls1 Counts as Multi combination, anything with 2 or more trailers. So we have Heavy Combination (Single trailer and prime mover - can be done in a 1 day course) then after a year of holding it (I think) you do a short MC test which requires medicals etc. Should see our iron ore trains...

  • Looks like avery hot,dry place to live...No thanks

  • @cobraman96 Lots of Australia is hot and try. Other parts are tropic and humid, other parts that are mountains and snow.

  • I'd hate to miss a turn when driving this thing lol.

  • to bykashka75 - now why would that be funny you fuckin retard people like you should be culled

  • the Stuart highway goes from Port Augusta to Darwin. it passes right through alice springs. lol. stops here hahahahaha. its another 1500km to darwin all on the stuart hwy.

  • I´m very fascinated with there vehicles !!!

  • Comment removed

  • what engine are they using in these

  • @azdralovic very big ones!

  • @azdralovic normally 550-620 HP caterpillar or cummins

  • the roads of Brazil would not succeed, the Brazilian government steals all the money

  • Heeey No Ueez you idiot !..didnt he see the sign ?

    ..lol only kidding !

  • Very impressive , driver you have balls of steel

  • co za asy

  • These trucks have to be more than 500hp to haul all that weight.

  • @LVDVSMAGNVS 500 hp comes stock with a road train. Its also not that much of an acclompishment in pick-up diesels. Torque is what you want for towing.

  • Most impressive U-turn I've ever seen

  • thats huge!

  • OMFGBBQ, I miss Australia so much!

  • it would be funny to see another road train going without brakes on the road in which this flathead makes a u turn

  • Thats a rolling atom BOMB !!!!

  • I want to move to Australia sooo bad.

  • Real life snake. xD

  • Rails are better...

  • id like to drive that threw new york..

  • @MrBuginator take a shortcut through the large park lol.

  • The longest road train in Australia had 79 trays, just over a kilometer long, now that's big!!.

  • Damn I wonder how long that takes to stop lol

  • road trains would look so cool if they had bigger hoods and bigger sleepers like here in the states

  • @cj382 wen you are pulling 150 ft of trailers down the road there isnt much more room for a 50 ft prime mover hey m8

  • @cj382 They can't because that would put them over the maximum length.

  • Yeah thats really long!

  • Damn, 86 wheels, 44 brake chambers. Now that's one long and involved circle check.

  • epic ass U turn they cant teach you that shit in drivers ed

  • thats in australia right?

  • @tofu46 Yes, where these are only possible because of the MAMOFA (miles and miles of fuck all)

  • I hope Mad Max can stop the fuel robbers from getting to that truck.

  • Like that one song says you need 40 acres to turn it around :P

  • thats all?

  • @bonnevillessei hwat do u expect a full train with 30 carriages or more

    dude this is not track

    this is road

  • @sscaero15

duh....i know its a road and not a track....

  • @bonnevillessei dude look u are hopeless

  • @sscaero15

are you for real? you commented back? lol! wow, get a life...or stop suckin on your moms tit....

  • @bonnevillessei dear pathetic moron dude fuck off

    i was correcting you

making comment like stop sucking on ur moms tits

why do u except everyone to be like u

sucking on ur moms tits and on on and on

and as far as getting life is concerned u need it more than me

    be mature u asshole

  • @sscaero15

and the bad part is...this isnt even your video...why you getting so worked up over my comment?

  • @bonnevillessei u can say that when i fuck ur mother

  • would fucking SUCK to take a wrong turn into a city on that thing O_O

  • @DellNGibbs yes ending up in freaking sydney or something :P

  • @DellNGibbs What if you had to pee and you were in the middle of the city, where the hell would you park that thing? D:

  • This 44 wheels not 86

  • @Janco123iscool dual wheels, not supersingles. 4 tyres per axle (2 on the steer), 1 steer and 21 axles on the drives, trailers and dollies.

    1x steer + (21x4) = 86 individual tyres.

  • U-Turn?? all i saw was it turning right

  • @tonyservices it was stopped at a truck stop and did a u-turn from thier carpark.

  • what exactly is a Toad train?

  • @McFearsome2 - A road train that goes through Queensland? Heh.

  • @rubblesby If you don't get this joke, nevermind it's an aussie thing!

  • @McFearsome2 a Lorry with more trailers becuase then the lorry doesnt hace to make loads of trips just the one with a road train

  • @Whizzer1 i know what a Road train is. i've driven them.. i was asking what a Toad train is.... it was a (admittidly lame) joke about the msspelling of the vid discription. the spelling error has since been corrected and now my comment is redundant.

  • @McFearsome2 road trains are semis tht are longer careing more then two trailers plus they use stronger trucks so they can pull heavier loads at one time

  • @McFearsome2 r u serious? its a smei truck pullin 2 or more trailers in the US ur only allowed one trailer

  • @chopedandsectioned Depending on your load you can get permits to pull two trailers in parts of the U.S.

  • @chopedandsectioned please read my earlier comments on this subject. seriously people. i know what a road train is, having driven them and all... i was just making a lamearse joke about a bit of mis-spelling.... if you read my comment, i asked what a 'Toad train' is. that is what the original clip drescription called it.

  • @McFearsome2 40ft trailers normally 2 but when you going across Australian they can have up to 4 or 5 40ft trailers

  • @McFearsome2

eh, a big ass tractor, connected to big ass trailers, in big ass numbers....sort of

cudos australia for these marvelous creations of insanity. love it!

  • @McFearsome2 what you see in the videoclip is a road train, a truck with multiple trailers attached to it.

  • @MrVeltman92 it is a 2AB quad. Road trains are all full length (or A) trailers and would not have the b-double at the back

  • @McFearsome2 While illegal in most places.

Some countries that don't have many railroads (like Queensland) use long trucks made up of mutiple trailers (10 average) called raod trains. You won't see any in most places.

  • @cancerman50

10 trailers on average ? you got to be kidding, how long are these road trains ?

  • How fast do these babies travel?

  • @murfreebear They are limited to 100km/h but most travel a bit slower, the drivers of these vehicles help vehicles who are following behind them to overtake by indicating. These trucks tend to be found in South Australia the Northern Territory and Western Australia. They tend to be 3 trailers long these days but I remember them having 5 trailers in a few years ago in South Australia/ Western Australia along the Nullabour Plain

  • @murfreebear depends on the state. some states they can do 100kph and others they are allowed only 90kmh.

  • This is actualy my dick ;) lol

  • amazing :D like a snake

  • hate to have to go in reverse lol

  • @TheMETALLLICAAAA you don't back it up you MAKE A NEW PATH

  • Hi! what is the name of this song in the video?

    /marcus =)

  • very cool

  • Australia has the longest trucks in the world on the road, they travel down the canning stock route and are alot longer than 53.5 meteres but are only aloud to travel a certain route.

  • what if you got a flat tire

  • keep going!! one aint going to make a differince..

  • ok.... 2 flat tires then

  • exactly 2 flat tires aint doin shit it can keep goin.

  • they look bad ass as hell now all it needs is a drop visor

  • oh no

    hes carrying fuel

    thats a bad idea. .

what if someone will steal it from u

like on the new 2fast 2 fururious movie??

  • i like how they pute the extra tall air stocks on the air cleaners

  • my country needs to take notes on saving fuel....i seen a 18 wheeler hauling a box..yes just one box

  • NEVER let your wife read the map!!!

  • @DJCRooK3D

    hahaha I like you

  • WOW!!! O.O

  • I think we can hav max of 6 trailers, whereas u can hav 3 right?

  • in the states its two

  • In Australia you can have as many trailers as you like as long as the overall length does not exceed 53.5 metres.

  • only in the middle mate there not allowed near citys!

  • Maybe now people will stop asking you you turn one of these

  • including the prime mover about 150 foot long

  • ya should mate...

these are about 50m long. in the triple areas 50m is the limit, on other areas you are only allowed double road trains and other combinatios which are under 36m, and 26m b doubles pretty much get any where in any city these days. if ya wana know more google road train routes

  • no w polsce niestety takich zestawów nie ma.

    szacun

  • I guess that is in Polish and you are saying that you don't get too many of these in Poland. Glad yo enjoyed.

  • @rubblesby

yup thats exactly what he said

  • @rubblesby Hmm, do you know Polish, or you used translator? ;) Anyway, good movie. I'm so impressed, because I thought that road train needs a runway to make U-turn :D

    Sorry for bad English ;)

    Greetings from PL ;)

  • @Cielepa There are aactually a couple of places on the highway that are marked as and used as official runways for the Flying Doctor mainly, so you're not too far from the truth :)

  • Hey nackers, cool video. That place is the Hi-way Inn at Daily Waters If I remember correctly.

  • lol ive yet to see one in real time hoping to see some soon going out to Narrabri on the long weekend in october not sure if there arecany out that way but hope so...cheers

  • Cool, enjoy the holiday. I'm heading to Glendambo SA for 5 days bushcamping (that should be outbackcamping - nothing there even resembling the bush) Monday :)

  • @bonzoAU there would only be two trailers that pull out of narrabri, its kinda a little to close to civilization to have bigger fellas pulling around there. more west and north but mainly in northern and western qld, nt, wa and top of sa will you find trucks pulling this many trailers

  • Some where in the Australian out back? Were you lost or something?

  • Funny you should ask !

I know there's only one road, but 12,000 kilometers in 8 weeks, it's hard to remember exactly where it was that was so dusty and flat and remote and ...

I've been able to work out where it was since by looking up all the stops on GoogleEarth. There's even a 'street view' now from pretty much the same spot.

    Daly Springs, Northern Teritory.

    16°18'30.58"S

    133°23'4.28"E

  • Thanks rubblesby was trying to be funny thats all you drive these monsters or were you on holidays?

  • Holidays and gobsmacked by the rigs and the people who drive them. Happy with 4 wheels thank you :)

  • Wow...that is awesome. I wish I would have seen the outback when I was in Aus. We don't have anything near that long in the US..but some of our roads could support it (western texas comes to mind...lol) Here most trucks are limited to 90kph (55mph) also but (at least in Pennsylvania) most disregard them...it's not uncommon to see trucks doing 140+kph here esp. on the downhill stretches of the smoky mountains.

  • In Pennsylvania?? That fast?? Shit man!! Every time I cross that state I fucking watch my ass. Cops every 40 miles. NY aint that bad, but Pennsylvania is crazy. I've never seen so many cops watching for anything and everything so they give you a ticket.

  • Drove from Perth to Mackay a couple months ago and passed like 20 of them long trains.. it takes like 2 km and about 40 seconds to pass one of them cz their not going 110km, we passed one between broken hill and wilcannia and had to go up to 160km to get past it fast enough..

  • Let's take that on 495!

  • in some cases can take over 2 miles to over take a roadtrain that rolls along the road with a speed of 110-130 km/h about 80-85 i think there are two road-trains in australia twin trucks thar transport grawel those twins are the longest in the world with a leangh of over 150 meters sorry bad english

  • I can testify to that. They really move it on the long stretches in the outback and overtaking one at 130 for the first time is an experience a city driver remembers. Heh.

  • How's that for a one-driver convoy?

  • I would love to show up at the grain elevator with one of these.

"Here is half of my wheat. I'll bring the other half tomorrow."

    LOL.

  • 110-130 KMH*

  • have drowen a kw road train here in denmark a few years back still drive the rig had 2 weeks training in australia there trucks has minimum 500 hp most engines are caterpillar C14 -C15

18 speed engines some rigs reach a length of over 130 meters with a weight of 300+ tons and thes rigs still goes with 110-130 KHM

  • 300+tons? wow what an efficient use of a vehicle.

  • kw is in aus is it cuz i like kw

  • 130 meters? Really? That's funny, I never heard of a truck being measured in Meters. I know you people in European countries use metric, but its unusual to see that. In North America the standard is the trailer is 53' (feeet) long plus the cab would make a 70 foot long truck. But in New York state, they have 2 trailer Road Trains pulling 2 53' trailers, so it's roughly a 130' long truck.

  • just to give you some idea of how big these trucks are

    130 feet = 39 metres

    130 metres = 426 feet

  • weight close to 350-400 ton

  • mmm i'd say that 160-170 tons would be more like it..

  • this one would be limited to 146 tonne. the max load for a tri is 20t and the max load for a single steer is 6t (7 x tri(20t) = 140t + steer (6t) = 146t)

  • cool not bad! Road train

  • australia

  • fantastic footage, this way with all tri axles is alot easier to haul than bogie!! longer wheel base. when was this filmed???

  • Thanks for that info, tbh, I had no idea about tri-axels or bogies when I took this footage in 2007, but I am learning from the replies.

What is the difference between the two and why is one better?

  • Tri-axle is better for supporting more weight I think.. not sure

  • HOW MANY HP IS THAT TRUCK?????????? i think that 10 common tractors wouldn't be able to do something like that!!!

  • 500-600 HP does the job, only difference is they have a lot more gears than a "regular" truck.

  • don't forget about the torqe, indeed, they have >20 gears (I'we played 18 wheels and I know :> :P :D )

  • u cant drive this on normal road??? right????

  • True. The road trains are limited to the outback roads in open country and the mining regions of Western and South Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland. The multiple trailers are unhooked, and then connected individually to multiple trucks at "assembly" yards when the road train gets close to populated areas.

In 1999,a record was set in Merredin, W.A. when 45 trailers, weighing 603 t (665 short tons) and measuring 610 m (2,000 ft) were pulled by a Kenworth truck for 8 km

  • so if no car ever passes out here on the road...then you were out here for a couple days with your camera eh? lol

  • eight weeks to be correct :) heh it took that long to drive there and back across the continent from Melbourne to Broome.

  • Thank you, you are right it indeed should be STUART HIGHWAY, not Stewart Highway. I've updated the description to say so and edited the video. Hope someone isn't lost out there in the outback, looking for the mythical Stewart highway.

  • What does he do when the drops off the trailers and he needs to take all the dolly with him?

  • They stack the dollys back on the trailer.

  • OK, that would work on a flatbed, but these are all tankers. I suppose you could daisy chain them together.

  • fuck is she full locked man ? stering?

  • that would be a bitch to merge on the freeway
