At all most the same price I think the old G800 can do a lot more than this E09.

The E09 is like a Roland sound canvas, I now have an SC-88 pro and that is better than the E09 especially an SC-88 pro with a Yamaha PSR-295.

I was reading the manual and according to that with this keyboard you are able to trigger the arranger using an external MIDI device. So this basically means I can play chords in Sonar 8.5, and have the E-09 play the arranger patterns?? Without even touching the keys of the keyboard itself??

It doesn't have an USB, only midi and direct line out like old school synts.

I would also appreciate the USB feature. Best option is to have an outer sound card like FA-66 etc.

The E09 is still a possibility considering it's under £1000 and definitely has better brass sounds than the Yamaha PSR-295 but the Yamaha PSR-295 has better piano sounds.

I'm thinking about buying a new keyboard next year, I want a Roland with brass and solo string instruments above general midi quality.I thought about buying Edirol orchesteral.But in my opinion Yamaha keyboards have better piano sounds I have a Yamaha PSR-295 and Roland synths are best for synth leads and string sounds I have a groovebox and of course there's the vst technology and I have Roland VSC complete GM2&GS soundsets and that's only counting my modern gear.I play real guitars as well.

You can't make but little tune up. There is a 16-track sequencer so you make your symphony if you want.

E-09 is a very good keyboard. Like the old E-86, too. But after all those years I can`t hear theese sounds anymore. Allways the same soundset (like SC-55). The Arranger-Section is absolutely a masterpiece...no doubt. But I would`nt use it with this ol` fashioned sounds !

This is a very cool instrument and very easy to play/operatre! I sure reccomend it to everyone, who wants to have TM Roland sounds in their arsenal and/or have a keyboard, whos response to the touch is just fantastic (and you can adjust the response also!)

- if you want cool Roland soundset with easy to operate and superb response providing keyboard, the E-09 is certainly what you need to get!

No. The E68 is 10-15 years old. From the 1990's era. They are both arrangers but this KB is much more recent.

it is a cheap arranger keyboard rather then a synth or a more expensive arranger keyboard, hence the lack of those features. You won't find a better arranger keyboard in this price range. That's my opinion at least.
