China has 4x as much people as them,much of China's money comes from factories which emit pollution.Also US has maybe 1 or 2 percent lower than China,so they aren't doing so well either.China also spends more money on developing green tech than any other country on the planet,what about the US?

Oil companies being green, that's a new one. They are the worst, the absolute worst, when it comes to pollution. One small half assed attempt at controlling pollution at one of their refineries is hardly green, it's more like PR.

@Renegen1 If they're profit-driven, then yes. But Sinopec is owned by the Chinese government and take their orders from there. Sinopec's move into the clean energy market is part of a cohesive strategy by China to both reduce emission and find alternative energy sources to oil. The government noted that in 10 years, they'll be facing severe energy crisis if they don't start acting. Which is why they'll be spending $400 billion on green tech in the next 5 years and patronize green tech companies.

Oh fine they do believe in global warming but they don't believe it is man made and they believe the effects are exaggerated. The point being is that the majority of republicans do care about the environment, however though they probably fall into category that global warming effects are being exaggerated, not that it doesn't exist.

The earth has been warming for over 10,000 years, that is how we got out of the ice age, humans contribute less then 5% of all co2 released into the earths air, 95% of all co2 created is done so naturally. Global warming can't be stopped nor can it be reversed. Human have been accelerating and intensifying its effects but the belief that it can be stopped and reversed is just plain wrong.

hold it man. im a conservative republiucan and i do a lot for the enviornment and help to clean it up. however, i dont think that america should turn our economy upside down to make a windfarm that makes enough electrisity to light a lightbulb. and global warming is not man made, it is cyclic, and believe it or not, the northern polar ice cap has increaced it size 37% since 1985 despite the 19% decreace in the southern ice cap. we do need to help the enviornment, but without socialism and b.s.
