I used to be a huge Leytoner... that is until they got together season 4 then I didn't mind them at all. Season 5 I began hating them.

I'm not saying Peyton wouldn't care for Lucas if he didn't write. All I said was that it was a major difference between the two proposals. Peyton said "first get published and I'll get recognized in the industry" while Lindsey said "I don't care if you publish. Whether we're successful or not, you'll still be Lucas Scott... the man that I love".

By the time Lucas proposed to Linsey, he had already published his first novel. You can't say that because Lucas had already gotten his dream to get his novel published.. Peyton was scared. She thought it would be a better idea to wait so Lucas could get his dream. She didn't want him to give it up.

Wow... okay, if my argument is a little rusty it's because I haven't been defending LL in a year.

I understand that Lucas already had his dream fulfilled but you can't deny that Peyton wanted to first reach their dreams (seperately) than to pursue their dreams as a couple. Lindsey couldn't have been bothered. She loved Lucas no matter what he decideded: if he'd continue being a successful writer or if he'd decide to just be a basketball coach. That didn't matter to her in the least.

Yes, the circumstances were different but I'm going back to my original point... Peyton said "First, let's achieve our dreams. Go the route of getting to what we both wanted. Only then we can get married and *settle down*" While Lindsey didn't see getting married to Lucas as settling down. She saw it as being with Lucas for the rest of her life. Because no matter where they went from there... it wouldn't matter to her. As long as he remained Lucas Scott.

If Lindsey was in that situation, I don't think she would of said yes. If she was under those circumstances she probably would've been scared too. When Peyton came back, all she wanted 2 do was marry Lucas. She didn't care about anythin else. Its really hard 2 compare cuz they weren't in the same situations. All I'm saying is Peyton was never giving up on Lucas, & Lindsey was under good circumstances so we don't know how the "love" would have lasted in circumstances like Peyton & Lucas were in.
