@harleykman I'm pro freedom and liberty too. I do differ with you on one point though. I don't buy into the whole "government is evil" rhetoric. It's corporate propaganda, that's a fact. They put these tales out through PR firms so that we will think that gov is bad and can do nothing right. The truth is that we have some control over gov, we have no control over corporations. They are private tyrannies that do whatever they please.It's all about WHO controls the gov, not so much the size.

@hardstyle905 Well, so is democracy, pure democracy, that is. There needs to be a balance between gov and democracy. Right now power is too consolidated, so we need to push back and spread the power out more. Maybe we should beef up the Tea Party and make one more party -- labor, libertarian, or something like that -- and then use those two parties to agitate the existing parties which will disperse their power. Of course we would need publicly funded elections for that to work...

This is terrible, they shouldn't treat this man like he is a bum or just looking for a hand out. YET, I don't think the ones that are going to determine what kind of care he gets are going to be of any help. He is too old & sick too. Many seniors are sitting at home now w/notices from their doctors that they will no longer be covered after this bill passes. My own father got one from his cardiologist. That's called cutting waste. Good Show Democrats, don't bother pretending you have some values.
