Great scene from a wonderful film. Really enjoy John Sayles' writing, especially his use of interior monologue that reveals character. His characters are individuals that stand on their own no matter what their psychosis. That's a difficult feat for a writer. In that sense, this scene feels related to the Actor's Studio technique. Thank you for posting this. Loved it! :-)
Still waiting to find out...but lots of the other girls auditioning asked me where my monologue came from, it went down really well. It's such a great scene!

I just love how it starts as a wide shot and slowly.....ever so slowly....becomes a close up....it just sells the entire scene how well it's shot....
