Money cannot be lent at interest to your brother, only to foreigners (Deuteronomy 23: 19-20) .
Eating pork is forbidden (Deuteronomy 14:8). Christians? enjoy bacon and eggs? A man must marry and have relations with his dead brother’s wife (Deuteronomy 25:5-6).This goes without explaining of course. A seducer must marry an unengaged virgin whom he seduces (Exodus 22:16-17)A raped, unengaged virgin must marry her rapist and they can never divorce (Deuteronomy 22:28-29).
Believers are supposed to hate their parents when they follow Jesus (“If any man come to me, and not hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sister, yet, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:26). Well, considering that Christians do not abandon their families but usually attempt to brainwash them they are all guilty of not following this verse. “It’s symbolic”, yeah, I know your lame ass defense to this one already.
Here is perhaps the mother of verses ignored: “Judge not, that ye be not judged” (Matthew 7:1) and “Judge not, and ye shall not be judged, condemn not and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven” (Luke 6:37). I have yet to meet a Christian who has not judged. They make a living of it! Literally!

@Qteri1 I went on the atheist experience blog and they gave a big response to mark asking why he kept calling under different names and he confessed it all in an update
I know this video was posted 10 months ago, but way to go Mark! You are turning to yourself for direction in life. That's what I've found that atheists promote. Free thinking and critical thinking about life in general.
It took me a long time in my life to have the courage to challenge everything around me, but I am finally a critical thinker. I no longer feel any guilt associated with thinking critically about a topic. It's very liberating my friend and very healthy! Good luck Mark!
IT'S SOOO FFING SAD that this guy Mark, is a fraud. I was almost brought to tears at how beautiful this is and then Mark turned out to be fake. Dammit Mark D-:<
Still, it did create a few great clips and had Matt (and the others) say some very great and awesome things that may have convinced and inspired other listeners. But damn, it's just so sad...
(In case you're wondering, the atheist experience posted that Mark was a fraud on their blog. He wanted more theist callers)
Assuming this is all on the level, there actually something very courageous about this caller, Mark.
He deserves a lot of credit. And not just because his "breakthrough" is one that secularists and nonbelievers can approve of. Even before this, he kept calling and calling and was always earnest even when he was teased and made fun of. He wanted to keep the conversation going, some curiousity within him made him want to learn more.
Was it just me, or did Mark's attitude change drastically after his breakthrough? He seemed quite relieved to finally throw off the yolk of religious indoctrination and start thinking for himself. Way to go, Mark!

@screenpuller Yeah, and it's funny how the hosts get pissed off when the Christian callers proves a point and gets the hosts thinking.."Oh shit, maybe God does exist...but the thought of hell scares me, and I don't wanna go there, so I'll keep believing there's no God just to clear my consciousness." LOL XD
Part 2 appears in the related videos list for a couple of other AtheistExperience videos but Part 1 doesn't. That's probably why it has so many more views.
Why is it soooo important for these athiests to disapprove the existence of God?! What is there motive? To turn those who truly believe in God into Athiests? Yet they hate it when we try to turn athiests into believers for the sake of Love!!!!!!!!
@FadedMindz210 Please realize that Atheists won't try to go to your house and convince you to let go of your religion. All atheists are trying to do is believe in more true things as possible, and if someone tries to convince them that there is a higher power out there, Atheists will naturally ask for proof of said power. Please believe however you like; very few atheists will actively try to take away your belief.
@supleted "All atheists are trying to do is believe in more true things as possible"
You don't speak for me. :P
I don't try to believe in 'true things'; I just *don't* believe in any particular god. There is nothing inherent in of this belief that links me to any other non-believer. Especially not science, logic or understanding; because I;
Don't understand most science;
Don't necessarily apply logic the same way as other people; and
@jaieet Sorry about the mis-phrase. When I said "All Atheists", I meant it more to the tone of "All I ever wanted to do". I understand there are Atheists who only disbelieves in a god.
Also, I didn't mean that I am the only Atheist. I can't phrase that sentence well, and I shouldn't have phrased it as such in the first place. English isn't my first language.
@backwoodsninja Yeah, but think about the WHOLE purpose of this nonsense of a show....All they do is talk about athiesm and the non exixtence of God with the use of evil, which is science and other things people don't care to know about. If people don't believe in God, fine, we'll pray for them...but don't put a show on to prove your ignorance.
@FadedMindz210 its called freedom of speech, the media is very heavily biased towards religion, whether christian or otherwise. A tiny show refutes their bull and believers seem to view it as a threat.
"Use of evil, which is science". yeah, your computer, the internet, electricity are all agents of your anti-god. Run away and hide in a cave, drink contaminated water and avoid science. Otherwise you are a hypocrite.
@FadedMindz210 "If people don't believe in God, fine, we'll pray for them" We don't want you to pray for us. Instead do something useful, like read a science book.
@backwoodsninja Please don't suggest you're the ignorant one here. You're not, ok? You're a smart guy who thinks about science every single minute of your life, which is why you care about it sooooooo much :)
@FadedMindz210 You should care about science. Science is the reason we have longer lifespans than ever before in history. Science is the reason you are typing on a computer. But, hey, you can always go back to the cave and rub sticks together.
Atheists (e before i) don't try to disprove the existence of god. Atheists simply don't believe in god. Though, yes, it would be a "blessing" to turn those who "truly believe in god" into atheists, because we believe that theists' belief in god is delusional and harmful. But it doesn't involve disproving god's existence so much as showing Mark, as Matt does, using logic, that Mark has a better innate sense of morality than what's presented in the bible.
I agree! That caller was so nice, humble, willing to learn, and not a robot (blindly following things). He almost had me in tears. He's definitely the kind of person you'd like to sit down with and teach him the facts of life - at length. Those are the kinds of friends you'd like!
@antibulletdodger101 Well, it's better than no argumentation skills at all, this guy looks like he can actually learn something, it's not the case of every fundamentalists. ;)
@elspoko you dimwitted little twat! what the fuck does science have to do with someone being gay? oh i get it, you think your being clever and funny, you immature little brat, that's the kind of thing a child would say, although you being a theist i would expect nothing less.
or is it your in the same situation as Mark and out of frustration and denial you just felt you had to say something to reinforce your desperate, pathetic belief in your sky daddy? if that's the case, i feel sorry for you.
@kryo101 You're trying too hard. If you toned it down then it could pass as a decent troll. As is, it's too obvious. Go back home and rewrite this essay. Now.
@elspoko it's obvious you're a attention seeking troll who gets off on having pointless arguments, so unless you actually have a point or a constructive argument to make over the subject, i would appreciate it if you would for the sake OF YOUR GOD get a life and stop replying to my posts.
@kryo101 that's entirely possible. In that case religion is doubly damned for condemning Mark to a truly horrific existence. He's desperate to be included in a community who would rather destroy him mentally and sometimes physically for no reason other than he is who he was born to be. Sick, really.
I'm pretty sure this was a prank caller. The fact that his "deconversion" was so incredibly simple and the fact that he said "come to my church, we love you" raised some red flags for me.
@stowe2546 It's probably caused by some kind of testing of the chroma key. They probably changed the key color to that of Jen's shirt causing it to be "keyed out", that's why it appears to turn black. In other words, nothing supernatural is going on.
I don't think Mark is an idiot or simple minded. Out of the many other Christians who came on to the show, he seems to give reasonable arguments and is willing to listen and take criticisms. A true idiot is when a person just blatantly clogs their ears even when they are presented with overwhelming evidence and still believe in their simplicity. Mark is just experiencing an emotional breakthrough from a cult he devoted his whole life to. It can make any sensible man talk stupidly or go insane.
anima7777777 and @joash0424 .... I saw it too. But it wasn't magic. It was the Hand of God. He changed her shirt from heavenly blue to hellishly black.
@mikef179 That's because he didn't want to use his real name when he first rung in so they used "Mark". He may have just changed names. Well that's my understanding anyway.
Those who slavishly, arrogantly and dogmatically cling to the materialistic view, despite ALL the evidence from modern biochemistry, astrophysics, quantum physics etc, etc pointing to a universe so divinely precise, so finely tuned, so mind numbingly complex as to render the mere idea that it could have come about WITHOUT a superior intelligence as ludicrous.
I really like Mark. Yes, he's a little slow, but he seems like a really nice person. He's the kind of christian that argues with atheists because he actually wants to save their souls, not because he want's to feel superior. And the way he says "We really like you" is so cute! x3
And how would he use his "instinct" to deal with Leviticus 13:6? The authors knew people wouldn't want to "obey" these commands and are further commanded to ignore their "instincts".
6:33 I actually clapped and cheered, for real... Few things are more inspiring than such achievements of epiphany like "wow, everything makes sense for me now" :) Nice work, Atheist Experience! Greetings from Brazil
0:22 look and Jen with that big grin on her face as this guys is talking about homosexuality, she is saying "oh yeah really now" with out saying a word.
I've been clips of this show for the last few hours, and every single time the atheist "won" the debate. But this is the first one in which one of them actually consented that they were right instead of just storming off. Go Mark!
@KoutetsuTenshin just because someone supports gay rights don't mean they are gay. They maybe have close friends who are gay, or they are simply rational and decide "so what if people are gay? that doesn't hurt me"
@KoutetsuTenshin lmao ok...i don't know if he is gay or not 100%, but let me tell you, generally if someone is gay, they won't use the quote "love your neighbors" as justification. They will use argument like "I don't have a choice, i didn't choose to be gay, i was born this way. Your God made me like this". If I have to bet my money, I'm betting he's not gay. His reasoning process doesn't match with what a typical gay person would say.
@Casshyr but bro, he's highly religious, and in other clips he stated that people from his church are watching the very show into which he is calling. He's not gonna go up and say "I'm gay and I think my church should treat people like me better." He's obviously insecure, and you can just hear it in the way he words his reasoning to them in the last quarter of this clip. "Cause when gay people have sex it doesn't hurt anyone else... unless they hurt each other <3" He wants it so bad
@KoutetsuTenshin lol ok i'm not going to defend for him. Just don't make up your mind 100% until you actually meet him and ask him that question yourself. But either way, so what if he is gay? That's the beauty of atheism. Once you put Bible aside, there is no real justification why gay shouldn't be allowed.
I have great admiration for Matt D. What I have noticed after watching several dozen clips is that his show is more like therapy for the deluded. Matt, you are a great citizen and asset to this country.
I fucking love that caller. What a great guy! The worth of a person is not determined by what they believe. Yes, maybe some are wrong and others are (more) right. "Use of evil, which is science". yeah, your computer, the internet, electricity are all agents of your anti-god. Run away and hide in a cave, drink contaminated water and avoid science. Otherwise you are a hypocrite.

@FadedMindz210 You think that science is evil and something people don't care to know about? Who is the ignorant one here?
backwoodsninja 1 month ago
@backwoodsninja Please don't suggest you're the ignorant one here. You're not, ok? You're a smart guy who thinks about science every single minute of your life, which is why you care about it sooooooo much :)
FadedMindz210 1 month ago

Wouldn't it be funny if Mark became an atheist then later a regular member on the show

I like the guy who called in.
He seemed like a nice person who wouldn't do evil just because of some old book, peer pressure or anything else.
We need more people in the world like him.

I agree! That caller was so nice, humble, willing to learn, and not a robot (blindly following things). He almost had me in tears. He's definitely the kind of person you'd like to sit down with and teach him the facts of life - at length. Those are the kinds of friends you'd like!

Now.

@kryo101 that's entirely possible. In that case religion is doubly damned for condemning Mark to a truly horrific existence. Towards the end of this video.. Jens shirt looks like it is changing colors. Felt I needed to point that out.
stowe2546 2 months ago
@stowe2546 It's probably caused by some kind of testing of the chroma key. They probably changed the key color to that of Jen's shirt causing it to be "keyed out", that's why it appears to turn black. In other words, nothing supernatural is going on.
VitoCorleonePadrino 2 months ago
I don't think Mark is an idiot or simple minded. Out of the many other Christians who came on to the show, he seems to give reasonable arguments and is willing to listen and take criticisms. A true idiot is when a person just blatantly clogs their ears even when they are presented with overwhelming evidence and still believe in their simplicity. Mark is just experiencing an emotional breakthrough from a cult he devoted his whole life to. It can make any sensible man talk stupidly or go insane.

This back and forth is a great example of where 'morality' is actually derived. It doesn't come from religion, it comes from individuals and society.

I really like Mark. Yes, he's a little slow, but he seems like a really nice person. He's the kind of christian that argues with atheists because he actually wants to save their souls, not because he want's to feel superior. And the way he says "We really like you" is so cute! x3

OMG MARK IS GAY!
KoutetsuTenshin 3 months ago 3
@KoutetsuTenshin just because someone supports gay rights don't mean they are gay. They maybe have close friends who are gay, or they are simply rational and decide "so what if people are gay? that doesn't hurt me"
Casshyr 2 months ago
@Casshyr you can hear it in his voice
KoutetsuTenshin 2 months ago
@KoutetsuTenshin lmao ok...i don't know if he is gay or not 100%, but let me tell you, generally if someone is gay, they won't use the quote "love your neighbors" as justification. They will use argument like "I don't have a choice, i didn't choose to be gay, i was born this way. Your God made me like this". If I have to bet my money, I'm betting he's not gay. His reasoning process doesn't match with what a typical gay person would say.
Casshyr 2 months ago
@Casshyr but bro, he's highly religious, and in other clips he stated that people from his church are watching the very show into which he is calling. He's not gonna go up and say "I'm gay and I think my church should treat people like me better." He's obviously insecure, and you can just hear it in the way he words his reasoning to them in the last quarter of this clip. "Cause when gay people have sex it doesn't hurt anyone else... unless they hurt each other <3" He wants it so bad
KoutetsuTenshin 2 months ago
@KoutetsuTenshin lol ok i'm not going to defend for him. Just don't make up your mind 100% until you actually meet him and ask him that question yourself. But either way, so what if he is gay? That's the beauty of atheism. Once you put Bible aside, there is no real justification why gay shouldn't be allowed.
Casshyr 2 months ago
@Casshyr I just voiced my surprise to the fact that he's gay, and that it all makes sense now knowing that fact
KoutetsuTenshin 2 months ago
