The song that plays is also in an episode of my so-called life, when Angela's parents take a dance lesson, and Angela gets a fake id from Jordan Catalano.....So the song wasn't exclusively made for Seinfeld, it must be a different composer
@harry426 I've been trying to learn what that piece of music is for years. Every time I think the internet holds all the answers I realize its limitations. I love this music. They play it again when Newman picks up Kramer's mom.
Well they both do say yes to it. Jerry does not go with it cos he does not want to be "orgy guy", he thinks he has to change his friends, grow mustache and keep all kind of "weird" equipments and turn his apartment into a dungeon in order to be "orgy guy". LOL. George, ofcourse thinks that Jerry is insane for not going for the "once in a lifetime" opportunity...
@TaikaProtagonist Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Thanks for refreshing my memory. I wish that part was posted on this video, or at least have it's own video.
They were coming up with this gold over a hundred episodes into the show. Never seen another show that was so consistently funny and creative. GENIUS!
Great scene are you crazy, there is a lot of great episodes out there I don't think this is my fav but that's what makes Seinfeld it stands the test of time so many funny moments, like when Kramer tells the girl she should get a nose job and then tells her she got butchered, I could go on, what's the deal with........xx
Unfortunately I don't know the name of the song, too, it's one of the best songs I've ever heard.. let's hope that somebody post an answer here, I want to buy it, too :-)
@Raygeemusic It almost sounds like Bernard Herrmann and is reminiscent of his Taxi Driver soundtrack, but I was not able to find the whole album online. Since this scene takes from a more classical film making style, It might be Jonathan Wolff emulating composers like Herrmann, who wrote scores for classic cinema.
@mcnevinz I've finally had the chance to listen to a few pieces from the Taxi Driver soundtrack, you're right, thank you so much for your answer :-) I've also found the info that the piece in this Seinfeld episode was written by Jonathan Wolff, but for the episode only, so there isn't any full release of this song, unfortunately..
Look I followed this plan to the letter after watching this show. I have to say it worked perfectly for a while until the two of em started showing more interest in each other than in me.
Definitely my favorite Seinfeld episode. The acting, the music, the surreal-ness of the planning. All top-notch.

What's that one episode where it ends with George trying the same thing to get rid of his girlfriend who lost her home furniture?
MeNotThePaper 3 months ago
Is this part of the episode a parody of some famos movie? I've always thought it was The Sting with Robert Redford.
