Everytime I see the 19 km long Super-Star Destroyer Dreadnought, the Executor, get beaten by a small attack by Ackbars' rebel cruisers - which were being mauled by Star Destroyers anyway - and ONE (yes, as well all know just ONE) A wing crashing into its command decks (cos oh no, such a clearly expensive complex and important warship would never have an axilliary command systems in the miles of ship below :P) .....I get REALLY annoyed at Lucas in general. Could have had it cornered and die well!

The Empire would be better if Palpatine wasn't such a twisted, corrupt Sith. If the Empire had fixed the problems that the Republic was too weak to resolve there might have been no rebellion in the first place. Unfortunately Palpatine was only interested in his own power, not the good of the galaxy. Who knows, if Padme or even Luke had joined Vader and overthrown Palpatine, things might have been different. Eclipse wasn't imagined to be a planet destroyer, but to be a flagship with enormous firepower in space, like the Leviathan. But Eclipse can remove whole planets of their population with a supporting fleet just like the Leviathan.
Just to say it.. Leviathan isnt as special as any Super Star Destroyer in firepower...
The Leviathan is just an ordinary Interdictor-class cruiser (And that's a very small ship on 600m compared to the ordinary Imperial Star Destroyer that's around 1500-2000m) which carry the fleets flag, since it's Admiral Saul Karath's flagship.
It's firepower aint that special, the Leviathan had 20 Turbolaser batteries, while an ISD got 8 Special Turbolaser batteries and 36 ordinary turbolaser batteries.

The Rebels defeated the Empire because the Emperor ordered the fleet to hold off so that the super weapon could pick off the Rebel fleet one by one. The Rebs destroyed the Imp communications ship and left the fleet in confusion. Solo blasted the shield generator, and the Rebel fleet concentrated all their fire power on the Executor, all this while the fleet was still operating under command not to engage.

It's a cool cover of the imperial march but I'm 99% sure it's not Metallica. The drums are most likely a drum-machin plugin for Cubase and such. Sounds like drumkit from hell.

Sorry, said wrong... the Leviathan just had 4 batteries of turbolasers, the 20 was Quad laser cannons, similar to those Luke and Han was shooting TIE fighters in A New Hope

@astroview120mm Not to get too nerdy here, but that is why they chose the red guards to be red and black like the Nazi colors. There are a bunch of things hidden in Star Wars that Lucas put there so that the Empire related to the Nazis.

Eclipse wasn't imagined to be a planet destroyer, but to be a flagship with enormous firepower in space, like the Leviathan. But Eclipse can remove whole planets of their population with a supporting fleet just like the Leviathan.

Just to say it.. Leviathan isnt as special as any Super Star Destroyer in firepower...
The Leviathan is just an ordinary Interdictor-class cruiser (And that's a very small ship on 600m compared to the ordinary Imperial Star Destroyer that's around 1500-2000m) which carry the fleets flag, since it's Admiral Saul Karath's flagship.
It's firepower aint that special, the Leviathan had 20 Turbolaser batteries, while an ISD got 8 Special Turbolaser batteries and 36 ordinary turbolaser batteries.

That's not a strong armament compared to ordinary Star destroyers.

Depends on how you see it. Dictatorship has never in history led to positive things. The whole idea of the saga is really democracy vs. imperialism. So if the Empire were to vanquish, that would not be so great! (^_^)

The Rebels defeated the Empire because the Emperor ordered the fleet to hold off so that the super weapon could pick off the Rebel fleet one by one. The Rebs destroyed the Imp communications ship and left the fleet in confusion. Solo blasted the shield generator, and the Rebel fleet concentrated all their fire power on the Executor, all this while the fleet was still operating under command not to engage.
