"fanbutton: You support paying for the health care and education of illegal immigrants?"
First of all, the only "illegal" immigrants are the European Americans in this country. They weren't invited here by the indigenous people when they came here. Yet you can tell them to get out of here and refuse to admit nor acknowledge their birthright and access to medical care?

Up until about a month ago I had lost about all hope of finding someone worth getting excited about in the 08 election. That was until I ran across Ron Paul! He is the straightest talking AND acting man running by far. I didn't know there was anyone left in government that felt the same way I do. I cannot wait to vote for this man. And for my countries sake, I hope you all do the same. His slogan fits perfectly how I see him. Hope for America!! (NOTE: This is not spam, Just how I feel)
republicans do not like this guy, he makes too much sense, and doesnt try to scare them into voting for him. he wont win and itll suck for the country. Im voting ron paul or democrat, anything but another neocon.
I'm an independant (liberal in classic sense - republican on market issues, democrat on social issues) and I never thought I'd be seriously considering a Republican, but if the Republicans are clever enough to run this man, it would really provide the change away from politics as usual this country needs.
The American Republic is in remnant status. The stage is set for our country eventually devolving into a military dictatorship, and few seem to care. These precedent-setting changes in the law are extremely dangerous and will change American jurisprudence forever if not revised. The beneficial results of our revolt against the King's abuses are about to be eliminated, and few Members of Congress and few Americans are aware of the seriousness of the situation.
Complacency and fear drive our legislation without any serious objection by our elected leaders. Sadly, though, those few who do object to this self-evident trend away from personal liberty and empire-building overseas are portrayed as unpatriotic and uncaring.- Ron Paul
yea, if he doesn't get on the ballot, i will most likely vote democrat, no matter who it is. but i really hope to have the chance in 2008 to vote for ron paul
Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It emboldens the blood, and narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded with patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader gladly.
Thank God for this man... !!! even if he doesn't get elected he is still shaping the political atmosphere the right direction, but you know what he will get elected. Go Ron Paul
too bad this man is running as a repub. he doesn't espouse the gnashing of teeth evil and hate of the typical re-pubic-an. if you think dick in bush destroyed mccain when they accused him of being mentally ill due to his being a pow, wait until they start the crucifying of this intelligent gentleman.talking about a mother eating her young.
9-11-01 Twin Towers bombing was a False Flag attack to win public support for war, world domination, oil theft & "Patriot" Act. Free movies & keywords: 911 Mysteries, Loose Change, Aaron Russo's America: Freedom to Fascism, Alex Jones' Terrorstorm & Matrix of Evil, Money Masters, American Scholars Symposium, David Ray Griffin, Steven E Jones, Michael Ruppert, Barrie Zwicker, Charlie Sheen, William Rodriguez, Rosie O'Donnell, Michael Meecher, Andreas von Bülow.
Gays in this Country are Americans too...and if the Country needs them then they should be allowed to serve like every other American in this Nation without denying who they are. At War...bullets and bombs don't discriminate! Ron Paul needs to reexamine his stance on this issue!!
The thing is the policy is working. It's not discrimination. He says that regardless of gay or not if the soldier acts out of hand they need to be treated the same way, does that sound anti-gay? It's not a question that needs to be asked or needs to be told. Look at it this way, I'm jewish, if I want to join the military it shouldn't matter if I am, the question should be brought up and I don't need to advertise it.
No, that is not true. The current military policy regarding gays in the military is NOT working. If it was working then why is the military firing Arabic linguists who specialize in the Arabic language just because they are GAY that could be very useful to our military? It is clear that the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy has been used in a discriminator manner.
If you ask him if discharging those linguists was the wrong thing to do, I would bet he would say it was. Why don't you look up the youtube video 'I'm gay, and ron paul has earned my vote'.
I agree with Ron Paul that we do get our RIGHTS for being HUMAN/INDIVIDUALS and that we should be treated as such, but the current military policy does not treat everyone equally. When we have the military firing and discharging young men and women who are revealed to be gay and there is no other reason for their termination other than the fact that they are gay, then YES that type of policy IS discriminatory, and it should be done away with.
You don't punish people for being who they are. If there are conduct issues that need to be addressed then address the CONDUCT, but don't punish people who want to serve this country for being who and what they are.
Dude, didn't you listen to the debate? He said both gays and straight people in the military should be treated the same way. No special privlidges, just equal americans. He said, if they act inappropriately they should be punished regardless of sexual orientation.
I will not be supporting Ron Paul in this upcoming presidential election. The man doesn't even believe that the young gay men and women who are putting their lives day in and day out for this country should have the right to serve openly regardless of their sexual orientation. I agree with the masses that Ron Paul is right on point with his foreign policy stance, but beyond that he doesn't seem to offer anything else of substance.
So when Ron Paul gets on this stage and utters truth, he has effectively played by their game and won, ever pleasing the masses who aren't ensnared by the standard cultural zeitgeist and possibly waking up those who remain ignaorant due to truth being censored by those who only seek to gain profit and control, even if they have to sell out their own species to an extent.
I'm actually quite liberal and left-leaning, but I truly believe in this sincerity of this man. He is anti-establishment and will be battling mainstream media all the way. His intellectual honesty and lack of spin is refreshing and will be a force to be reckoned with, provided he can get his message out. He needs our support! I just donated to his campaign and I really hope many, many others will consider doing so as well.
he's better than anti-establishment, he's pro-constitution. He wants to give the power of lawmaking back to the states and out of the federal government.
Agreed. Amazing isn't it that pro-constitution is basically equivalent to anti-establishment in this day and age. Let's get this country back on track. Support Ron!
It's becoming very clear and even cliche that Ron Paul IS the only candidate that will save us, who speaks honestly and isn't scared...BUT we MUST do something to help him...Please donate as much as you can to his campaign, he really needs it.
can he seriously win? going against the special interests groups and the different buddy systems they got set up. Can he really do it? Its either him or obama. i dont think hilary can turn her image around enough to win the majority.
America really likes Ron Paul , America wants Ron Paul for President...therefore the Zionist Occupied Government will not allow him to be the main candidate.
The scum in Washington want established and proven scum like Jewdi Jewliani the Mobster or actor McCain the pathological liar and Israel firster.
Its a shutout, why should it matter that much in a place like Australia you may ask.
its not like they don't cover it. Instead they mock up a fictional version of events where Ron Paul was just some minor who may not even have spoken. Even the liberal 'agenda free' outlets just wont even touch it, even while they recite what happened, miraculously excluding the Poll topping system rocking element of Ron Paul.
I watched the post debate talks for about 30 minutes and they did not even MENTION Ron Paul ONCE. It was just McCain, Guiliani, Romney all night. If they are going to ask candidates different questions, why don't they just go down the line, in order? Fuck CNN.
I'm from Australia and I can see it, thanks to youtube and the internet. This is the world's chance to support a belief that seems at the same time profound and irrepressible.
The fear after 911, was like McCarthyism again - this whole "with us or against us" rhetoric. Its the same tired shit from the same crusty useless Death club brothers. Hoarding knowledge, using any tool possible to divide and conquer, order out of chaos.
This guy is just a breath of fresh air cutting through the stench of politics today . As you can see by the polls when the people see such sincerity and compassion they are immediatly taken in because they have had to except nothing but self serving liars for the last 50 years . Sadly the system is well equiped to see of Ron or anyone like him because he would step on too many buisness interests toes to ever be nominated . So lets change the system , at least Ron is a start .
Im as liberal as you can get (believe me) , hate the fence thing , and yet this is my favorite guy out there. He's the only one coming out so strong against the militarism of these crazies. Its so so admirable. Cant get enough of it.
I don't see how anyone could listen to this man and not be moved. He is one of, if the not the only candidate who speaks for true liberty and not just special interest. I honestly believe he is the most honest politician I have ever heard.
Most have never heard of RON PAUL..ask why? Why doesn't he get equal coverage? You know why but I ask, does that not bother you? Your minds are led like cattle in stalls or mice in a maze.
WE should be the ones to spread these important names...like: RON PAUL, ALEX JONES, AARON RUSSO, OFFICER JACK MCLAMB...and so forth...we cannot and should not depend on the whore media!!!!!
I bet Rupert Murdoch doesn't support RON PAUL. One could almost see the puppet strings when one watches today's news reporting/pushing the propaganda and distractions.
I can not stress enough the importance of joining Ron Paul in the struggle for Liberty. Whether you join the (R), (D), or (L) camp, please do not let your support for Liberty cease if Ron Paul is snubbed out of the (R) camp. Go to LP -dot- org and see how much of Ron's views are directly reflected by the Libertarian party. At the least, donate and vote for local libertarians or two party candidates ONLY if they support the Constitution and our rights.
It is inspiring to watch someone speak from a position of principle like Congressman Paul. It provides such firm footing, and he appears solid while most of the other candidates waffle and crumble.
Ron Paul knocked it out of the park with the question on the "most moral pressing issue of our time".
Starting wars with countries that haven't even attacked us. It is unconstitutional, it is against what the founding fathers told us, and it is immoral.

The indigenous people in this country did the same thing for the Europeans, and what did the Europeans do?

and now you want to instill protected borders?
How delusional must you people be before you wake up?

Bush was elected twice because of a messed up voting system, rigged to give him the majority, no matter how dumb he faired in the debates.

Gays in this Country are Americans too...and if the Country needs them then they should be allowed to serve like every other American in this Nation without denying who they are. At War...bullets and bombs don't discriminate! Ron Paul needs to reexamine his stance on this issue!!
lc0149 4 years ago
The thing is the policy is working. It's not discrimination. He says that regardless of gay or not if the soldier acts out of hand they need to be treated the same way, does that sound anti-gay? It's not a question that needs to be asked or needs to be told. Look at it this way, I'm jewish, if I want to join the military it shouldn't matter if I am, the question should be brought up and I don't need to advertise it.
soulmantim 4 years ago
No, that is not true. The current military policy regarding gays in the military is NOT working. If it was working then why is the military firing Arabic linguists who specialize in the Arabic language just because they are GAY that could be very useful to our military? It is clear that the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy has been used in a discriminator manner.
lc0149 4 years ago
If you ask him if discharging those linguists was the wrong thing to do, I would bet he would say it was. Why don't you look up the youtube video 'I'm gay, and ron paul has earned my vote'.
soulmantim 4 years ago
I agree with Ron Paul that we do get our RIGHTS for being HUMAN/INDIVIDUALS and that we should be treated as such, but the current military policy does not treat everyone equally. When we have the military firing and discharging young men and women who are revealed to be gay and there is no other reason for their termination other than the fact that they are gay, then YES that type of policy IS discriminatory, and it should be done away with.
lc0149 4 years ago
You don't punish people for being who they are. If there are conduct issues that need to be addressed then address the CONDUCT, but don't punish people who want to serve this country for being who and what they are.
lc0149 4 years ago
Dude, didn't you listen to the debate? He said both gays and straight people in the military should be treated the same way. No special privlidges, just equal americans. He said, if they act inappropriately they should be punished regardless of sexual orientation.
soulmantim 4 years ago
I will not be supporting Ron Paul in this upcoming presidential election. The man doesn't even believe that the young gay men and women who are putting their lives day in and day out for this country should have the right to serve openly regardless of their sexual orientation. I agree with the masses that Ron Paul is right on point with his foreign policy stance, but beyond that he doesn't seem to offer anything else of substance.
lc0149 4 years ago
It's nice you 'agree with the masses' because the mass media says you don't. Go on RonPaul2008 dot com,

It happens even in Australia.
Its a shutout, why should it matter that much in a place like Australia you may ask.
its not like they don't cover it. Instead they mock up a fictional version of events where Ron Paul was just some minor who may not even have spoken. Even the liberal 'agenda free' outlets just wont even touch it, even while they recite what happened, miraculously excluding the Poll topping system rocking element of Ron Paul.
nofizzed 4 years ago
I watched the post debate talks for about 30 minutes and they did not even MENTION Ron Paul ONCE. It was just McCain, Guiliani, Romney all night. If they are going to ask candidates different questions, why don't they just go down the line, in order? Fuck CNN.
seapoidog 4 years ago
These media outlets refuse to acknowledge Ron Paul's existence let alone his unprecedented popularity and are seriously compromised as a result.
Guardian - UK
Sydney Morning Herald - AUS
All major Television channels in Australia including The ABC
The Sun - UK
i'm sure the list is vast:
Lets start a compromised media list and turn off
refuse everything they want to sell us!
We are better than that. We don't need them!
Polls are also tainted - Zogby poll, who makes sure that is just???

I'm from Australia and I can see it, thanks to youtube and the internet. This is the world's chance to support a belief that seems at the same time profound and irrepressible.
The fear after 911, was like McCarthyism again - this whole "with us or against us" rhetoric. Its the same tired shit from the same crusty useless Death club brothers. Hoarding knowledge, using any tool possible to divide and conquer, order out of chaos.
The time is now!
Ron Paul 08!
nofizzed 4 years ago
This guy is just a breath of fresh air cutting through the stench of politics today . As you can see by the polls when the people see such sincerity and compassion they are immediatly taken in because they have had to except nothing but self serving liars for the last 50 years . Sadly the system is well equiped to see of Ron or anyone like him because he would step on too many buisness interests toes to ever be nominated . So lets change the system , at least Ron is a start .
