@Laurelindo well later on beneath that masquerade we learn that Seymour actually knows what the final summoning does and is trying desperately to become the final Aeon in order to fuse with Yevon and become Sin.
His reason? To end the world of it's "suffering" by bringing the people death.
Seymour became outright twisted after being ostracized for his race. Had he grown up as a full Guado or human I believe he would have become a rather outstanding individual.
Ehh?? When Luzzu is about to head out and Yuna stops him, he says "Thank you, Yuna," and not the English version of "I have to, Yuna." The implication of the first one is that he's going to go whether he wants her to or not, but he appreciates Yuna's kindness and caring for him; the second implies that he doesn't really want to, but he's going because he HAS to, because it's his duty as a Crusader/sempai/traitor to Yevon who can't go back to Besaid like everything's normal anyway... argh!
When Auron is basically back-talking to Seymour, I'm not sure what Seymour says to him at first, but Auron says he's Yuna's guardian now, and he's got nothing to say about that time ("I don't want to talk about that time" or something like that). I wonder if anyone ever did a translation of the original Japanese script? I know scripts exist for the full English version of the game and FFX, but a translation-- not dubtitles-- would be interesting, too.
You can't even do it that way; none of the International releases of the games come with Japanese audio and English subs. It's either Japanese audio/Japanese subs, English audio/English subs, or English audio/Japanese subs... right?

Seymour sounds gay in both versions, but the English one is just embarrassing.

Wakka: "But... using Machina... Isn't that bad?"
Seymour: "Pretend you didn't see them."
Wakka: "No disrespect, but that isn't something a Maester should be saying!"
Seymour: "Then pretend I didn't say it."
Epic way of saying "up yours." Awesome!

Without Seymour's BGM, at this point of the game, you'd honestly think he was quite a nice guy.. only a little creepy.
swirlyeyes 2 years ago 4
@swirlyeyes ISn't Seymour always a rather good guy, though?
I mean he's just trying to stop Sin in his own way and doesn't want people to stop him.

I think Seymour talks in a way too low voice in the beginning - no way everyone would be able to hear him.

Seymour's creepier in Japanese. O_o

this is a game that isn't made entirely by SE, someone put together an UNDUB version of ffx by switching the voice files in the game.
there are a lot of UNDUB games, i'm playing the Xenosaga series and Tales of the Abyss "Undubed" as well.

I have but i never truly known whether or not Chappu was older. I even played FF X-2 to remind myself and i did find out that he was indeed younger.
