@UKToneKing How about correcting this: The question mark comes straight after the word “up”. “Guys” does not have an apostrophe “s” and neither does “guts”. Ruens is spelt ruins. “U” is spelt you and doesn’t need a capital unless it’s at the start of a sentence. “Braking” is spelt breaking unless you are in a car, “Jools Holland” is a name and deserves capital letters and copyright is all one word.

@robinabobbin I am only 33 so am not too old ha ha but I got the pleasure of seeing dire straits in the mid 80s when I was 10 & again when I was 12 & again when I was 14, I went to see knopfler play about 4 years ago & it was still good not on the level of the straits days but still a good show, my dad liked them so he kind of got me into them, at first I did not like them, but when I picked the guitar up I realized mark was the boy, he gets a lovely sound outta the guitar & he is amazing live
@UKToneKing Believe it or not I rate Knopfler very highly as a musician, his status as a great guitar player is not in question at all. But I have to admit I laughed heartily at this post - and if you check out the other 'shreds' vids on youtube there are some hilarious ones (in particular check out the Yngwie Malmsteen one and the Pearl Jam one) When was I around 14 I listened to 'Making Movies' a lot and thought the Knopf's playing was awesome. Bet you didn't expect that!
@robinabobbin mark knopfler is a really good guitar player and he is also a very good song writer, get lucky is a good tune I like on acoustic, his tunnel of love is one of my favorite, mainly as I am from the north east of England about 20 miles from were knopfler resides to this day, so I know whitley bay bay very well which is what the song is about, Spanish city was their when I was young as well as I went many times, when U play guitar all day as a job I suppose it will become 2nd nature
@robinabobbin I like all kinds of singers live that I don't find entertaining on CD, status quo is not something I will listen to at home, but I went to see them just before Xmas in Newcastle & they were amazing, they were rocking from start to finish & had that bouncy sound going on for 3 hours solid, at their age I take my hat off to them, it really was a cracking gig, some say quo are one of the best bands live in the world & I can se why that is, they were well worth £17 & true entertainers
