what the fuck do you know about the materials of which this is done, or the cost of this project????? stupid moron shut the fuck up and read some book
Between the last quality control inspection and the launch a piece of metal worked its way into the engine. After the ignition of the thrusters, the rocket managed to fly 16 inches into the air before the engine disintigrated. This brought the thrust to zero, and the rocket plunged beneath the platform, crushing the 200 tonne blast deflector. The rocket and satellite then broke into pieces and sunk to the ocean floor, the plaform and blast deflector suffered only minor damage.
Actually I was reading that the blast deflector broke away and sunk as well. That is what has taken so long for their return to flight was replacing the deflector. They are expected to fly again soon.
i cant believe they thought it was actually going to launch, the heat is so intence it like melt evwerything but concrete, and they are gonna lauch it off a metal boat lol
Sea Launch has had many successful rocket launches, this was likely a fluke of the thrusters on the rocket itself, not the stability or make-up of the pad.
