kids fail b/c they encourage each other to be thugs and hoodlums. they praise each other for being mediocre and disfunctional. you can do wahtever you want for them, they arent ready as a whole. having said that, there are good students who will try hard and do well. the trens is that increasingly more are just living for the moment.
