Through the years, I heard so much about Ron Banks via my aunt who was a 70s teen Soul Train fanatic who would scream whenever I mentioned his name. But I never knew for certain which one he was. I first became familiar with them through a movie called "Get Down and Boogie" (renamed "Darktown Strutters"). They performed "What You See is What You Get," and I went CRAZY even though the song was as old as I was!
I think they were far better than the Temps...when they started they styled their moves after the Coasters who even did back flips as part of their dance routines. The Dramatics did as well when they had Squirrel.
i spoke to Ron on 3 occasions and he was very kind and humble he was a beautiful human being may peace be upon his soul and love ones

I think they "step" better than the Temps ... if that's possible!

With the exception of David Ruffin (The choreography for "My Girl" was SMOOTH), I'm inclined to agree. I LOVE the Dramatics!!!
