No patients had positive anti-Smith antibodies. 8 patients were tested for anti-Smith antibodies and were negative (7 were tested at the time of their lupus-like syndrome, one was tested prior to the onset of lupus-like syndrome). The other 6 patients were not tested for anti-Smith antibodies. Dr. Wetter
Since this is a disease where the immune system is attcking itself it makes a lot of sense that arthritis may be present in patients that suffer lupus.
Hi Dr. Wetter,
Can you please tell me if any of your patients had positive Smith Antibodies? Thank you.
