effalcongli - we posted this video because so many vets have told us of owners coming in with limp dogs CHOKED when the tray top vehicle they were 'tethered to' veered in traffic and the dogs were thrown off the side - the driver being unaware.
An ounce of precaution (put the dog in a crate or put it inside) can prevent this kind of thing.. that's all we're saying - but if you think this is ok - go ahead - it's your dog's life after all :-)

i suppose its slightly different down under. Up here sunburn isnt really an issue, neither is burnt feet, as they are in the bed of a pickup, not on a ute tray. While my dog never rides in the bed, the vet at my local 24 hr emergency vetinary hospital hadn't seen an injury due to this practice.

I see retards like this here in Melbourne all the time. Its usually the same: overpaid dirt-diggers in their utes, who think of their dog as more of a status thing.
Funny, its usually ute drivers (both this kind with the tray, and the other kind often colored these days in 'fluoro-puke-green')....that are the worst drivers as well.

If the lead too short to allow the dog to fall off the bed.
AND it's not too hot.
AND the trip is too short for sunburn.
You seem to be down to eye injuryas the only problem. If the dog is restrained behind the cab then the dog is protected by the windshield.
No need to film someone and call them names.
NOW, If the bed is hot, the lead is too long, etc... then point out the right meathod to the owner.
