hmmm....similar to the polynesian way of openning one. all we do is look for the eyes the nose and the mouth...a face, and theres a line and all we godda do is take a HARD OBJECT and hit 2 TIMES across that line and the coconut is cracked in 2 pieces...you have to see it to fully understand what im tlking about but dis way is similar to how we do it but she used da object to find it rather then looking for it lol

Those trimmed/pointy coconuts are dipped in formaldehyde. I get the whole green ones which aren't dipped in toxic chemicals.

That white stuff is essentially the outside flesh that's exposed (like if they sold mangoes pre peeled, it would need some chemical to prevent the flesh from rotting), the only way to keep exposed flesh from rotting is to soak it in toxic chemicals. I can smell and taste the formaldehyde in those white trimmed coconuts, that is NOT what young coconuts taste like, that's what coconut and formaldehyde taste like. The green natural ones taste like real coconut, because they are.

I just walk down the street and find them where they fell off the trees. Her method is not succinct enough.

I saw another way with a cleaver a bowl, you knock around the middle of the coconut with the dull side and it breaks in half clean. It didn't have the white thing around it, what ever that was.

The young coconuts have a thinner softer inside, almost like jelly, so you can just dig it out with a spoon, unlike mature brown coconuts.
