  • Next to No Country for Old Men, this is the Coen Brother's finest! The cinematography was actually very clever and well shot!!!

    Such an underrated film!

  • Im gonna watch this movie tommrow!

  • I really wish they got more recognition. This movie is perfect.

  • in my opinion Fargo is their greatest but miller's crossing in a really close second. i think tho, its probably the most underrated classic in flim making cause fargo does get a lot of recognition

  • @LTdrumma fargo sucked, so the ppl who made fargo made this. this must suck then

  • Joel. Ethan. Please make more movies woth 20th Century Fox.

  • Quite simply, the second greatest gangster film of all time. GF 1&2 count as the same movie.

  • ryannlag is an former film school drop out, that now directs animal porn in mexico.

  • This is a very stupid movie! The budget was small but god did it suck!

  • @ryannlag - you know nothing of film. not a single thing.

  • @ryannlag how do u manage to not enjoy watching this movie...

  • Albert Finney is great in this one!!!

  • Yes o yes this movie is killer.

  • "So you want to kill him?" "For starters." What a trailer. And what a movie. Among the Coens' top 3.

  • Why is this film hardly ever mentioned among the best of the Coen Brothers these days? It's always "O Brother," "No Country," and sometimes "Fargo" that get mentioned. Don't get me wrong, I love those films, but "Miller's Crossing" deserves respect. It's the perfect mix of the Coen Brother's sense of noir plotting and gangster opera films like Once Upon a Time in America; probably one of the best movie's by the Coens.

  • @iGLGred - Let's be clear. The Big Lebowski is the greatest coen bro film of all time. The others are up for debate, but I'd go: (2) Fargo (3) Miller's Crossing (4) Raising Arizona (5) Oh Brother (6) Blood Simple (7) Barton Fink (8) Hudsucker Proxy - then pick 'em.

  • I didn't watch it yet, but the trailer spoiled much info...

  • @RazielFallenAngel

Go see the movie, then come back and say that.

  • Can someone explain to me why the film is called "Miller's Crossing" , who is this "Miller" guy and what does the title mean?

  • @Fanofcartoons1994 I don't know who 's that guy or why is that title. Anyway, that's the name of the crossing in the film where Byrne supposed to kill Turturro.

  • @Cleon29Warrior - well, smart guy, we'll go out to Miller's Crossing, and we'll see who's smart. Quite simply, movie making.

  • Good trailer,really good

  • Goddamn. When the Cohen brothers make a movie, they make a fucking MOVIE!

  • that when moves had meaning, were enjoyable and worth watching...not the nonsense 3D gay movies today.

  • Anybody know what this music is?

  • @EHSEagleVideos

'Limerick's Lamentation' or 'Lament for Limerick' (Marbha Na Luimneach)

  • such an underrated movie

  • great movie, the trailer is a bit strange though

  • From the makers of Blood Simple and...Arizona...

En Español, lo mismo, the sae.

I want to see you sw... a litte.

Never without a reason...I am about et...

Joder, que bueno o buena este trailer y la peli.

  • We all know this is a great movie, but i forgot how incredible and different the trailer was.

  • Great. Fucking. Movie.

And GTFO, Last Guardian fanboys. Just because they decided to jock off this movie's soundtrack.

  • @AgentMorgan2010 The Last Guardian will be game of the year upon release. Know this now.

  • The music doesn't really fit the editing style of the trailer..

  • I prefer this movie to Good Fellas

    its far more stylish

  • Yes, the Dane had it figured!!!......the BEST Cohen Bros movie FULLSTOP!

  • As good as this trailer is, it really doesn't do the film justice. But then again, what trailer could.

    Awesome Movie, really, really awesome.

  • Tom is gay...his actions are motivated not for his love for Verna but his love for Leo. Think about it.

  • @SuFiMatt i think he's definitely in love with verna, but won't say it for a fear of expressing feelings. i think he just wants to be friends with leo, as he is the best man he knows, but is also afraid of any commitment whatsoever.

  • The Dane is a badass

  • This is a really good trailer

  • this is roger smiths favorite movie, you know roger smith from American dad

  • right I need to watch this NOW

  • look in your hearrrttt

  • Yup it is their best film, and one of the best gangster films ever made

  • Who ever says Miller's Crossing is the Coen Brothers' finest film, i would say you are correct. Great film, I saw this less then a year ago for the first time, it is truly a masterpiece and so underrated it is ridiculous!

  • this movie is so dashell hammet it hurts. great though

  • probably best trailer ever.

  • I'M SICK OF GETTING THE HIGH-HAT!

  • The Last Guardian Trailer was more fitting to the music than the original trailer. :) Not to say that it didn't fit here, not at all!

  • best trailer ever

  • What's the rumpus?

  • 1.11 ....look at him ...he thinks he's Tony Montana ...impostor :)

  • I thought it was alright but i didnt realy get it the whole thing was weird all the coens are so fuckung strange they seem to alway over complicate movies.

  • 1:46 paddys pub?

  • just watched, great fuckin movie enjoyed the whole thing

  • Ive watched it twice and cant wait to watch again. classic. nothing comes close to this style. i wish the Coens would do more character chemistry based films. well.. they all are, but not to this level of complex intertwinding minds.

  • Question...Was the Dane really in on the fix with mink or did Tom just say that to Johnny Casper?

  • the most underappreciated film ever.

  • Dynamite.

  • This trailer makes me want "The Last Guardian" to come out soon. If you've seen the teaser for it, you'd understand why hahah.

  • @heybuddy84848 because of the theme song?

  • Is it me, or when people mention The Coen Brothers they never talk about THE classic film of their's "The Big Lebowski".

  • @23MIKE95 What?

    Its their most popular movie

  • me and my friends are having A Coen Brothers Mini film fest at one my friends house and tonight we are watching Miller's Crossing last night was Raising Arizona and the night before was Blood Simple. Coen Brothers are gods.

  • One of my top 3 favorite movies of all time. I like to call it the Coen Brothers' most "normal" film. :-)

... and this here is EASILY the greatest trailer ever!!!

  • This is one of the very few films that gets better with the second viewing. By the time you're starting the third, you're in for a mindblowing experience. Unquestionably a masterpiece and possibly the Coens' finest film. And you know that means something.

  • @VicenzoV you nailed it. Even the very worst Coen Brothers movie is infinitley better than 95% of everything else that comes out of Hollywood. You cannot miss with Coen film.

  • @VicenzoV is this better than the Godfather cuz im looking for mafia movies that are better

  • @Snako85 Comparing movies I don't do mate.

  • @Snako85 None better than the GF, especially part 2. This is close, though. Once Upon A Time in America will make you think more than any mob film in my opinion. I like Byrne and Finney in Miller's better than any mob combo. The Coen's use 20's American lingo to such effect that it sets Miller's apart. Pacino is the man in the GF but the atmosphere in Miller's is a character unto itself. Byrne is excellent, so is Finney and Turturro.

  • @nothingsfree didnt like GF 2 but GF 1 is good Once Upon a time in America is the best Mafia movie ever made. GoodFellas is great. The Underrated GF 3 was fantrastic also the underrated Last Don And Last Don II

  • @Snako85 the godfather is probably the "best" all-around mafia movie in terms of acting, dialogue, development, settings, etc. but goodfellas is a more meaningful movie to me because it is so believable. the monstrosities that go on seem very realistic to me in terms of how the mafia works. godfather almost romanticizes the characters while goodfellas is resentful because it's necessarily violent and unnerving. millers crossing is a philosphical movie disguised as a mob movie. all great.

  • Amazing film, Wonderful soundtrack and some of the best dialogue ever written.

  • this is one of the greatest gangster movies ever made its right up there with the godfather, goodfellas, casino and scarface and one the cohen bros finest

  • excelente!!

  • Luv MOST of the Cohen brothers films. Never seen Miller's, and from the trailer it looks like it could go either way. It could be good or suck to high heaven. But one thing is for sure, its definitely worth checking out. Luv Turturro's work.

  • As far as what I know, and what I don't know aint worth knowing....but I'd have to say that this is one of the finest movies ever. Gets better with every viewing , the dialogue is absolute genius. Watching it just fills me with the ...what do ya call it...joy de vevre. Class

  • This is a beautiful movie. I love it, yet I haven't bought it yet. I think it's high time I did.

  • have not seen this movie in 15 years, cannot remember anything about it sorry to say, but this trailer is enough to convince me to get it on DVD

  • @lndac02 : The trailer does the movie justice. You won't regret buying the DVD!

  • It's hard to say which one is my favorite character in the movie but I would marry Verna twice. She doesn't take any guff from anybody and is one badass girl. She can punch me anytime.

  • I can watch this movie 100 times and not get tired of it. I specially love those facial expressions Johnny Caspar makes. He's the shit and a man who means business.."The schmatter steals from me!!" Listen Leo, I ain't asking you for permission. I'm teling you as a courtesy. I need to do this so it's gonna get done...Unfortunately for Tom he's the one chosen to bump the schmatter..

  • such an underated movie...

  • this is a good gangster film, dont get me wrong, but it certainly is not among the best. goodfellas, casino all the godfathers, once upon a time in america, among others, are far better films

  • @54luvherb99 lol obviously i'm mean the how can the cohen brothers even compete with MS.

  • @54luvherb99 There will never be a better movie than The Godfather pt. 2.

  • I wish someone would upload this on YouTube. It looks so good. Thanks for the clip. I hate it when I find I've missed a good one.

  • Hell, I ain't afraid to use the term: best movie of all time.

  • very tricky movie

  • This trailer absolutely told me not to watch this movie XD

  • @GrafPsychofarmaca : Don't be fooled. It's one of the best gangster movies since the godfather. The acting is really solid from the entire cast especially John Turturro, the cinematography is excellent, the characters are memorable, the script is top notch and the soundtrack is brilliant. Definitely check it out.

  • I know he isnt in the trailer but who is and what does that little fat kid do in Millers crossing?

  • @kaihiwatari111

The fat kid, hopefully the right one, was Caspar's son. His dad wanted his to grown some balls and be a man like him but he whinned and cried too much so his dad belted him one good across the face. I think that the fat kid you meant.

  • @kingoffunk yeah that was funny as fuck

  • The scene in the woods is brilliant!

  • A greatly underated masterpiece. The script, performances, score, photography are all excellent. One of the 10 best gangster films ever.

  • Spamanator666, I thank your parents for meeting. Or else this video wouldn't be on Youtube.

I would just like to proclaim this is the finest Coen Brothers' film ever conceived.

    Casting - flawless.

    Acting - Immaculate.

    Cinematography - Sublime.

"You know what, Yegg? I believe, you" - The Dane.

  • One the most underrated films ever made.

  • The Coen Brothers are the shit.

  • One of the best movies.... Timeless.

  • I must have seen this movie at least 50 times, and I discover nuance every time I see it. Every image and scene is a classic work of art and the dialog is priceless. Sadly it is so underrated.

  • hmmm dont know if i should give this film a chance?

    doesnt look very convincing

  • If you ask me, who played the dirtiest rule here, i would say Tom.

Casper trusted him a lot, and then he double crossed him .

  • Can someone respond to me and tell me what the signifcance of when the Gabriel Byrne character was drenching the towl of "headache liquid" into a bowl? He was on the phone and he had the towel on his head befofre he did this. But the camera clearly wanted us to see the "Headache" bottle and him drenching the towel of sweat and liquid.

  • Long before I finally saw the film itself, this trailer was enough to move me to tears.

  • This is possibly the greatest movie ever made. Truly art among film.

  • @Trevahhh it's a terrific film, no doubt. but there are too many cheap-set moments.

  • well done Joel and Etan coen.

  • absolutely awesome movie. Love everything by the Coen brothers

  • This movie is seriously overlooked. It's a amazing mobster movie. My opinion top 3 best mobster movies of all time. I highly recommend it. Realistic and heartfelt. I can't imagine a better movie to watch if you love the gangster genre. Watch this if you haven't yet, you will totally satisfied.

  • amazing movie, but may be ever great OST... i just can clap.... and clap... and may be... clap again.... amazing....

  • This movie is probably the most realistic, convoluted, amazingly written, acted and directed period film out there. It's like stepping into an era. Sets, slang, personal perspectives, spot on. Good God, the best of all the Coen bro films by virtue of it's unpredictability. You really have no idea what is going to happen. plus i've noticed new things each time i watch, changes everytime you watch. Everyone is crooked...or are they? Love, love, love this film.

  • @belle1967

beautifully put. this is the best mob movie and the most underrated movie in cinematic history. the funny thing, is that i didn't like this movie the first time i saw it.

  • @MrRuwald11 It does sort of bowl you over the first time doesn't it, i think because the rhythym of it is so unique and unexpected.

  • @teacosy1 OK, I'll trust your instincts and see if I can find this movie to consume a bag of popcorn over.

  • @MaxVonBogus don't let this poorly made trailer put you off...this is a masterpiece. Possibly one of the greatest gangster films ever made.

  • @teacosy1 I sorta agree with that. Not poorly made, but misleading. Makes it looks like a serious drama or something. When a lot of it was actually funny. Crime/comedy/drama.

  • branko7 is this a movie u could watch 100x?

  • is this movie worth 2 buy?

  • man, this is a fantastic movie. definitely get it

  • Brilliant movie, and does anyone think that Gabriel Byrne is hot in this?? or is it just me? haha! The Best gangster movie i think!

  • Better than Godfather II and III, better than Goodfellas, Casino, The Departed, Road to Perdition, The Untouchables, Scarface; probably in the top 5 gangster films

  • Does anyone know the music in this trailer?

  • @dedsword It's the movie's main theme by Carter Burwell.

  • Probably a good movie.

They should shoot whoever the fuck made this trailer, though.

  • @CrackerJackthe4th this is a great trailer! i think it really captures the essence of the film, despite being slightly corny

  • @RobertGoodFella It's definitely not shit. If you like the Coen brothers, this is by far their best movie. Probably the most underrated movie ever. It's amazing. But better on rewatch once you've got a better feel of who the characters are.

  • Godfather 3 was shit. This is beautiful.

  • Incredible movie, utterly dire trailer though.

  • Great Mafia film better than the untouchables

  • hey, does anybody know where can i see or download this movie on internet?

  • btjunkie

  • this music sound exactly like the theme from shawshank redemption...

  • It does, but this came out before Shawshank Redemption. Love this movie! A thinking mans gangster film.

  • Coen Brother's best film and one of the most underrated film's ever..

  • If you haven't seen Millers Crossing, you have no idea what you are in for....

  • im about to watch it i hope your right.

  • Oh I am....

  • the best trailer ever made!

  • The Dane had it figured.

  • @smalllove1 yep,The Dane knew. Good thing for Tom that The Dane had one put in the brain.

  • is this movie worth 2 buy and watch it 100 times?

  • No.. its a good movie but unlike the big lebowksi this aint a movie u could watch many times. Imo

  • Such an elegantly put together trailer. Gives you a flavour without spoiling the film unlike so many trailers nowadays.

  • @bodgo I love the scenes it shows but I hate how it introduces the characters one by one and some of the narrating is cheesy, its treats the movie like a summer action flick

  • That scene with John Turturro begging in the woods is the best single piece of acting I have ever seen.

  • totally agree

  • Comment removed

  • "Up is down, Black is white"...I live by that after seeing this movie. I saw it when it first came out but only appreciated it when I watched it again a couple of years ago...It's timeless and awesome 10+ stars...see it if you haven't!

  • @DoctorJanitor Same here, I thought it was a good movie the first time but then I watched it again a few days ago and it's now become my all time favourite.

Amazing in every way, the acting, the shots, the music, the effective use of violence, the amazing subtleties that are almost impossible to pick up on with just one viewing..

    Simply a fantastic film.

  • I thought i was the only one that really loved this movie....19 fucking years old, and it can kick so many new movies asses!!!!

  • Just bought this movie from Amazon, all I can say is pure awesomeness! What a gangster picture! This is better than the Departed, Goodfellas, and Gangs of New York put together.

  • A brilliant masterpiece of a film. Very very underrated film that should be watched. Also just remember this, the Coen Brothers worst films are better than most directors best films. Great soundtrack too.

  • Why did they use this music in The Last Guardian? lol

  • One of the best films I've ever seen. Is it really based on a French movie? Would love to see that.

  • It's not based on a french movie, just the work of Dashiell Hammett. Not any particular one, just in general.

  • Tierradelloco - I think this is based on a film called The Glass Key from the 1940s.

At least that's what they say on wikipedia, but of course it might not be the most reliable source, hahaha :)

  • Absolutely worth buying! Anything the Coen brothers do is pure genius. Even their worst stuff is better than 98% of everything else that comes out of Hollywood.

  • is this movie worth buying?

  • If you like Irish/Italian mobster movies, yes. If you follow the Coen brothers films, definitely. I've seen several of their movies &this is the one I've watched the most by far. I can't put in to words why I love this movie but I do. Easily one of my top 10 favorite films.

  • My uncle produced this movie :)

  • HAha! Your uncle is Ethan Coen?
