Just saw something that said this game won't be release for another 675 days... I'm not waiting that long, anyone else have an "official" release date, any different from the one I just mentioned
I hope that it even makes it to market what with THQ's financial woes.....they're definitely putting all their eggs in one basket with Darksiders 2 and if it doesn't do well (which it honestly might not if they give it as bad of a PR campaign as they did for Darksiders 1 or Metro 2033 for that matter), I feel like Metro would be their first choice for the chopping block. I will be FURIOUS if this game doesn't make it to the market.

Their leader said that they made it up but in the book, Artyom sticks his head into a pitch black tunnel and has to pull back as "something huge and train like" slithers past him implying that the Great Worm is real!! @SinDawg030 I always liked that interpretation but Ive read somewhere one of Artyom's companions (I haven't read the book so this is second hand information) mentioned early that Polis has a massive drilling platform that is digging tunnels through the metro.
And this drill is what Artyom ran into.

Clear Sky is the worst quality-wise out of all of them. Just start with Shadow of Chernobyl and use the L.U.R.K. mod found on moddb(.)com, that's the best of the bunch in my opinion.
I suggest going ShoC > CS > CoP, because as bad as Clear Sky is, it's still worth playing because it's a S.T.A.L.K.E.R game. It's always healthy to start at the beginning of the series. And get mods for each game, trust me, if you search around on moddb, you'll find a LOT of good ones for the series.
@Arnes111 I had wanted to play the games Vanilla if possible....I've heard LURK changes tons of stuff to the point of it not even being the same game practically. I wanted to know which one I should play if I were trying to play as vanilla as possible but still wanted to have a really good understanding of the storyline

@crazycat690 there is no CoD killer, which doesn't mean CoD is the best game out there. In fact, CoD is a very ordinary, mediocre, unoriginal shooter. But somehow, it's more popular than any other game out there. BTW, you're right, metro last light shouldn't have multiplayer. Yeah, Metro: Last Light and STALKER 2 were the two games I was most looking forward to. It's damn sad that STALKER went down, it's one of my favorite franchises.

Okay everyone. Got it the first time about metro being the based off the book and how Fallout 3 and New Vegas are probly rip off's of metro's book and ya da de da do! Just stop bothering me! Do any of you guys know where to get Metro 2034 the book in english because I ordered it but it was in German. I ve got and read metro 2033 but I sort of want to read the sequal so any sites you can provide can be really helpful =)
This is my opinion only but you can't compare 2034 to 2033 don't like to say it but it's 2 or 3 steps back from the first book.I would suggest getting other books of the series but don't know if they are in english.
Fallout takes place in 2077-2282. RPG, Not as Realistic as Metro, and not Horror based (unless you go to the metro's in Fallout 3).
Metro takes place in 2033 and 2034 (hince the name) DEFINATLY horror based, Realistic with damage, gas mask usage, and how the world is. Oh and how dark it is.
Now before you jump on me saying that I said Fallout sucks, no I'm not I've played all the Fallout games and liked them, and I'm righting a book based on Fallout:P
@kimgoodwin1 fallout can be as scary as metro but was more focused on the certain area. for example they didnt make new vegas look like metro because new vegas is, well, new vegas. metro is russia. i have to admit fallout 3 sorta looked like metro but the fallout series was based on making realistic american post-apocalyptic cities. the only time they legit scared me in fallout was in vegas in the vault where you get the pulse gun (i forget what its called). but other than that i agree.

If there are any games out there that show what shit will be like after the bombs, this comes closest, maybe sans the mutants...we hope.
I'm a big fan of both games -- nether one is better, they are just two types of games. I LOVE them both! Fallout is more open and sandboxy, allowing you to create your own characters. Metro on the other hand, has a specific story to tell and has set characters. I can't wait for Metro Last Light!

@kimgoodwin1 Actually, go on pretty much all of the pre-release trailers for MW3, and there were loads of battlefags ranting about how BF3 was going to be better, even this gem of a faggot who said that MW3 had crap AI-IN A CINEMATIC TRAILER.
They also bring some of good innovation to the table each game, while keeping the core gameplay the same. Need I go further on saying "Nazi Zombies" or "Spec Ops Survival"? Last time I checked, that was some serious new shit.

This looks fucking amazing, Metro 2033 is what made me a gamer again, I'd stopped playing games altogether before the Steam sale where it was $5, I got it since it looked interesting and I'd beaten it by the next day. I hate and love the Nosalis at the same time, because of them Metro is the only game to have ever made me freak out while playing it. I can't wait for this. :D

It is connected to D6 so we wont have any shortage of new locations. Not that Artyom even visited half the stations in the metro to begin with.

Okay everyone. Got it the first time about metro being the based off the book and how Fallout 3 and New Vegas are probly rip off's of metro's book and ya da de da do! Just stop bothering me! Do any of you guys know where to get Metro 2034 the book in english because I ordered it but it was in German. I ve got and read metro 2033 but I sort of want to read the sequal so any sites you can provide can be really helpful =)

This is my opinion only but you can't compare 2034 to 2033 don't like to say it but it's 2 or 3 steps back from the first book.I would suggest getting other books of the series but don't know if they are in english.

Reason that Fallout and Metro are different.
Fallout takes place in 2077-2282. RPG, Not as Realistic as Metro, and not Horror based (unless you go to the metro's in Fallout 3).
Metro takes place in 2033 and 2034 (hince the name) DEFINATLY horror based, Realistic with damage, gas mask usage, and how the world is. Oh and how dark it is.
Now before you jump on me saying that I said Fallout sucks, no I'm not I've played all the Fallout games and liked them, and I'm righting a book based on Fallout:P

@kimgoodwin1 fallout can be as scary as metro but was more focused on the certain area. for example they didnt make new vegas look like metro because new vegas is, well, new vegas. metro is russia. i have to admit fallout 3 sorta looked like metro but the fallout series was based on making realistic american post-apocalyptic cities. the only time they legit scared me in fallout was in vegas in the vault where you get the pulse gun (i forget what its called). but other than that i agree.

@kimgoodwin1 You man not find a bigger fan of FO than I but, no boasting. Metro is damn good! Read the book, it's like a post nuclear "A funny thing happened on the way to the forum". If there are any games out there that show what shit will be like after the bombs, this comes closest, maybe sans the mutants...we hope.

I'm a big fan of both games -- nether one is better, they are just two types of games. I LOVE them both! Fallout is more open and sandboxy, allowing you to create your own characters. Metro on the other hand, has a specific story to tell and has set characters. I can't wait for Metro Last Light!

@Nukesnipe Ah, no I'm not a Battlefield fan-boy, nor Call of Duty. Reason I say Call of Duty is because they are the one's who start these internet wars on other video game trailers so I said that to see how many CoD beaters I would attract. One last thing I was very disapointed in Battlefield 3's campaign too me it was Black Ops just modern. I was equaly disapointed with MW3's gameplay same old game retexd. And as much as hate to say it Treyarch and Infinity Ward have milked CoD dry

@kimgoodwin1 Actually, go on pretty much all of the pre-release trailers for MW3, and there were loads of battlefags ranting about how BF3 was going to be better, even this gem of a faggot who said that MW3 had crap AI-IN A CINEMATIC TRAILER.
They also bring some of good innovation to the table each game, while keeping the core gameplay the same. Need I go further on saying "Nazi Zombies" or "Spec Ops Survival"? Last time I checked, that was some serious new shit.
I want a future game, though.

@Nukesnipe Good point, but like I said I was diapointed in both games in one way and another. Where they good games? Yes. Where they the Best? Not really.
I have both games and I play them often for they are fun and challenging when your fighting a whole team of Campers, rapid-fires, and Tank hoggers. And about Nazi Zombies, YES! I believe that's one of the only good idea's Treyarch has came up with since the WW2 era games. I would "kill" to see a game based on souly, Zombies.

I only said what I said because I see more CoD trolls than Battlefield trolls, Halo trolls, or any other game type of Trolls. But I just hope we can end this meaningless arguement and go on our day to day lives of owning n00bs, and campers, wether it be in Call of Duty, Halo, Battlefield, or any other game. This looks fucking amazing, Metro 2033 is what made me a gamer again, I'd stopped playing games altogether before the Steam sale where it was $5, I got it since it looked interesting and I'd beaten it by the next day. I hate and love the Nosalis at the same time, because of them Metro is the only game to have ever made me freak out while playing it. I can't wait for this. :D
