I know my Nissan ALTIMA will outlast the G.M. product it. My Nissan went over 5,000 plus durability tests to ensure it will last me a long time. On the other hand my chevys engine went crappy at 105k miles with all proper maintenance.

@cengeb The Volt is fine and I'm sure there are a couple of thousand southern California Hollywood types that want to feel good believing they are helping the environment driving an electric/hybrid. An interesting reality is that the Ford Mondeo (Taurus), for example, with the Ford EUD fueled 2.0L TDCi engine has a smaller carbon footprint (when up-stream and down-stream emissions are factored in). And the Ford gets 65 mpg combined fuel economy on EUD fuel.

Remember they needed the $60 BILLION bailout to survive, they didn't survive in a capitalist economy based on product, but bailouts. GM, should be gone like Chrysler. This car is very attractive! Not sure if its worth it, I'd rather buy the Leaf or The PRIUS PHEV. If GM doesn't give up on this model and actually gets around to a redesign and improves it....I might be in!
