That was the Central Hockey League, around 2000 or 2001. They're with the Indianapolis Ice (which is no longer in the CHL). Melnychuk was with the Fayetteville Force, and I also saw the Columbus Cottonmouths and Memphis Riverkings in there.
Christian was a joke. He was a horrible player (could barely skate) and wasn't really that tough. I saw Joe Mittelsteadt destroy him in Lake Charles in 2000. He got axed by Lubbock right after that. This was probably the next season, 2000-2001.
That second guy, Christianson or Christian or whatever his name is, is a cro-magnon neanderthal idiot. He looks like he's missing a chromosome or two. The first guy, Laforge, was pretty professional and intelligent though.

Laforge was never the same after Darrin Kimble took him apart in one of his first NHL fights. Christian is a victim of today's Euro invasion where tough guys are all but weeded out. Rod Davidson is the coaching epitome of today's joke of a league and represents everything wrong with the Gary Bettman era of no toughness whatsoever. Funny how the Anaheim Ducks lead the NHL in fighting by far last year and win the Cup. F*** O** Bettman!
Melnychuk is a hockey player who fights. Christian is a pug who skates.

In Round2 Christian got hammered to the ice pretty quickly, i call that CLEAR WIN for player with dark jersey.
