  • AKA US Ace From Marvel Comics.

  • I LOve It !!!! one of the best Christmas gifts ever !!!

  • Would love to have this again..and I'm 37!

  • cool. stuff. they just don't make stuff like this anymore. fun things like this and trains is what makes real men. not ipods.

  • Man if you didn't have one of these as a kid you really missed out. I bought the exact one I had as a kid on Ebay a few years ago with the box and everything.

  • OMG I had one when I was little!!! I want it back!!

  • Didn't SNL do a parody of this commercial, complete with amphetamines and truckstop hookers?

I loved this thing back in 1982.

  • A new version should have weigh stations that hold a truck for random periods, a module that makes you plug in miles / hours like a logbook as some sort of math game and if you get the entries wrong, your truck is stopped for a random period.

  • i want one of these sooo bad!

  • omg i found you i had u but with a sand and gravel yellow tractor trailer

  • I had that when i was a kid. Its still at my moms house after what 25 years now?

  • All Day!!!

-the entire week of X-mas vacation

  • If you could find a Trans-Am slot car you could make your own Smokey and the Bandit movie! lol

  • US 1 Electric trucking, stop at the choke and puke ! pick up a lot lizard ! and some uppers ! So You can stay awake for Your next run ! Roll past the weigh station, fake Your log books, pick up another lot lizard, and drop another load !

  • sweet, this makes me want to set up my old track again!

  • ye me too xD! but i don't know where is the transformer -.-'

  • US-1 sets and accessories still turn up on Ebay reguarly. That's where i got my stuff. this was a great slot car system that i think should be reintroduced. If not the originals then maybe a new version from Life Like/Walthers (even more road/rail opprotunities :) ) I could see a set that includes an overhead crane that loads the trailers onto flatcars.

see the us-1 layout video for my other comment on it (should've put it here)

  • I got the US-1 figure-8 truck set with the auto carrier and dump truck. It also came with a detour section so one rig would stop while the other rig would continue on. Sometimes I set the road without the loading/unloading facilities and the two trucks would race each other in a oval. Awesome set, man!

  • I loved this commercial. I remember when I got my US1 for Xmas 1981. I thought it was the coolest set i ever got. I was so into the truck thing back then. I think its still cool today but now I collect model trains.

  • please!!! do you have the us1 fire truck FIRE ALERT commercial???

  • Awesome vid, I too remember this one, thank you so much for posting this vid, I had a whole heap of this stuff many years back...

  • I remember the ads, and weant crazy for this. My folks got me the biggest US1 kit available in 1981. Guess what, I still have it, all accessories, signs, pieces, you name it. I held on to the set hoping to pass it on to my kids. I will set it up again if I ever have a son, my daughter isn't interested. :(

  • I Might Have Been Born In The Early 90's, But... I WANT ONE!!!

  • Tyco also made a non slotted version using Peter-Built trucks; they were able to switch lanes back and forth....I had one, but I don't remember the name of the set.

  • freeking classic .those were toys!1970's-1980's.classic train sets and stomper trucks

  • I remember these sets. They were awsome! It makes me want to buy them for my son someday.

  • This video is great! I clearly recall seeing this same commercial when I was a little boy back in the early 80's. I also remember when I had my own Tyco US-1 set. Thanks for the great memories.
