i seen them long ago (in the 90s) at edgefest...what a show. of coarse i was trippin on acid! the bass players arms seemed to reach the floor. i also saw them at the bomb factory in deep ellem. back when ellum was still ellum,,,the played an elton john song for an encore.
It's Ricky Brooks on the recording and in the video. This video was made before Ricky Wolking joined the band. Ricky Wolking is in the Baton Rouge video though.
omg I have been looking for this song for so long to the point I was starting to think I made it up. . . and then I realized it is NOT in fact called make it rain. lol
edgefest 95 in dallas...remember it well...we bumrushed the stage, about 5000 of us..security jammed us up..pile of humans, couldnt move, getting crushed, got pulled outand grabbed the girl under me,saved her life we were both frying and it was one of those bonds between us,sooo strong...complete strangers..nixons thrashed across that stage.zac was in rare form. what a show...veruca salt rocked that show as well...the good days!!1
Very underrated band. Yes, there is a similarity to Pearl Jam on the on most of there vocals (not in this song) that borders on copoyright infringement. But their subject matter and attitude was completely different. I can only think of one other band, King's X, that with religious and spiritual issues that is not either extremely antagonistic or extremely dogmatic.
Copy of "Never Said?"... not very similar. If you want to hear a near exact copy of a song listen to Killing Joke's "Eighties" then listen to Nirvana's "Come as You Are."
I don't know how these guy's didn't make it big time their cd "FOMA" freaking great stuff hope their still making music. Yeah man good memories of 90's music!!
Gosh...thanks a million for putting this one up. It's a very rare video which I never seen before. As a huge fan of Matt Mahurin (the director of this clip) it's a true gem!
i saw them at trees in dallas texas. they cought the stage on fire and i was smashed against the stage. good time;)

WOW!
The beginning of this song is a direct rip off of Liz Phair's "Never Said." It's so direct that it's shameless!
SpadeSP78 2 years ago
Liz Phair sucks, it's highly doubtful anyone would purposefully copy her "music."

As to where these guys are now
John Humphrey is In Seether
Zac Maloy now writes and produces for Sony--his song "Used To' is on Daughtry's album
Ricky Wolking is still in Dallas as a major "hired gun" bassist.
The rest, I have no clue
