You have to remember that the population of the planet is currently expected to exceed 7 billion this year. So if about 3/4 of the population die during this period, that leaves about 1.75 billion people on the planet.

Why do you believe the old testament? God did not write it, humans did. So is the case with all religious texts. God is different, religion is different. Religion is for bringing order and unity among humans but that noble purpose has been compromised and its the same religion that is the cause of so many conflicts in this world. God never hurts anyone, humans hurt themselves and blame it on God. If there is an apocalypse, it would be because of the actions of humans and not God. ;)

Its actally being happened and it just depends upon our vision and knowledge to see, feel and believe it. For centuries, man tried to figure out what was holding up the earth, was it elephants or giants? No! Through the inspiration of God, Job declared that "hangs the earth upon or over nothing" and science proved that. Nowhere in scripture is it implied that the earth is flat.

In Christianity the only real rule is to love the lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself. If you confess that Jesus is lord, you are saved. It's pretty easy but then people would rather have the comfort this pitiful world has to offer rather than the eternal rewards that God has to offer.

@SuperMachinegunner it also says that if you sin you can confess and wash everything away in the name of the lord and you devote your life to just doing right. even if youve killed afghans, live your life the way you want to, whatever makes you happy. its your choice and freewill to do so. the bible is just something that i found useful to my life and every sunday when im not in a firefight, gives me faith ill come home. i cant see it through your eyes, but you know what we go through. peace.
