I agree, I too, play by ear - sheet music has the tendency to distract - one will never become truly creative thru structure

My ear is getting better, but I'm a long way from where you are! I think there's a programme that you can hook your keyboard up to, and it will write the notes automatically. Probably expensive though :)
There's a lot of music out there I can't find in sheet music form.
