this was the best FPS ever.for the xbox.the company that made it went out of biz and they had produced a sequal to it i even got from one ofthe creators a memo outlining all the things about it.

Has more atmosphere and st ory then 99% of rpgs.

H.P Lovecraft wrote it. After him many other autors built the cthulhu mythos. Games like alone in the dark or eternal darkness have a lot hints to that story. If you like role play game´s like dungeon and dragons test the "call of chtulhu". You will love it, and then get completely insane...

It's call, Call of Cthulhu, but there are books with a few of Lovecraft's stories. I have a book call Lovecraft Stories cost me $50.

@Roofroller Private detectives aren't usually around extreme scenarios. They are the ones who interview people and look into information. They don't even arrest people, they just report back to whoever hired them. I mean really, it's an office job. Why would he be used to people being killed right in front of him?

This game reminds me of the Gabriel Knight series. Lots of snooping around, you can click on almost everything and get dialog. But this has more cutscenes. I'm surprisingly not totally big on combat but then again, I treat lots of my games like rpg-books. lol

i liked this game very much until i realized that you pretty much HAD to follow the script of the game.

Repeating the same are in upwards of 30 times trying to figure out what i was supposed to do was not fun at all.
