Personally i think that the ufc was smoking something when they made this card. I'm fine with it, I love a grappling clinic, but trying to attract new viewers to the mma game by making a card that features 5/6 of the fighters in the fox lineup being grapplers, two fights being pure wrestler vs pure wrestler, and all three fights having a very good chance to go to a decision, it just seems like a bad move from a marketing standpoint. The Bisping/Munoz shakeup could be the perfect cure.
@NateO123 That might be the intention. If they put someone like Dos Santos, Overeem, Aldo, Jones, Silva, the fight may not make it past 2 minutes. They've now shown a striker with the JDS win. Now they want to show a different aspect the ground game. Each fight is sure to have some element of ground game in it. The UFC on FX 1 was a good card of mixed styles. I guess that doesnt seem more appealing.

Davis size might give evans some problems but evans is too quick and is more well rounded so with that being said I got evans winning with a late stoppage
The fight recently was changed. It's now Sonnen vs Bisping. At least thats what I heard. Just trying to keep the best sports show on YouTube up to date... And yes, that was me kissing ass :P
I'm actually not sure where to place 135 . . . But Aldo has cleared out 145. Erik Koch is probably next, but he will need a prayer. Hoping Aldo jumps into the 155 mix sometime next year. So 185 is around 135, not sure which is more competitve.

The reason why Chael hasn't beat anyone in the division worth 2 cent is because there is no to beat in the middle weight division. Chael and Anderson are ONLY fights I'd say are A-S ranked fighters in the MW division.
What's so wrong with MMA fighters talking their way into fights? I mean, it's not like that's a negative, and it certainly isn't like some no-name fighter is trying to shit talk a fighter, for example, frankie edgar, into a fight. Most of the guys who talk their way into a fight usually can back it up. IE: the Diaz brothers.
Munoz has had a lot of trouble with any wrestler hes fought, he has won but he has defiantly struggled and lost to Hamill and Okami. And keep in mind Sonnen has out wrestled D1 and Olympic wrestlers with a fair amount of ease really. Munoz could catch him with a heater but thats it. Fight's off so we won't know.
Phil Davis has a real chance at upseting Rashad here. Rashad starts a bit slow(tito fight no withstanding) but Rashad overall a better fighter at the moment improved striking. If this fight had occured when the Tito fight happened I would of had Phil but now I have Rashad.

@antonyneal Trust me, that isn't why people are critical of Fedor. It is because he refused to fight in the UFC. While that may sound like UFC bias, historically the UFC has housed greater fighters than any of the places that Fedor has fought. I don't think anyone one criticize him today if he had came into the UFC and destroyed Brock then fought Cain. Sometimes you have to prove you are the best. Nick Diaz and Alistair will try to prove it. Fedor should have proved it. He is only 35 by the way.
The ufc currently has the best fighters in the world. But Pride in its hey day was just as deep as the ufc. And strikeforce had as many top ten heavy weights as the ufc when Fedor joined. Who knows exactly why he isnt fighting for the ufc? He proved he was the best in the world when he beat a prime crocop and prime big nog twice. I know Fedor is no longer the best but when you beat as many top ten ranked guys as Fedor did you have nothing left to prove.

Rashad is not fast enough tag jones. Something tells me that Phil Davis is a bit underrated. He's a very smart fighter, he has good wrestling, good submission game, and has decent stand-up (brian stann fight). Honestly when it comes to experience u have to give it to Rashad. Phil has more potential for sure and Rashad has been exposed (KO), but he has way more xperience and better wrestling, atleast from what i've seen. I'm predicting Phil Davis submission victory 4th rd.
Phil Davis beat one of the best 205'ers in Alexander Gustaffson (though he was more inexperienced back then, actually both were)
Evans and Machida are equally decent with stopping power. Lyoto's wins by ko are = to Evans' KOs, they both have two by punches. But lets not forget that Evans is one of Machida's two.
That being said, I don't see Jones getting TKO/KO'd by anyone but someone like Gustaffson. Hendo has potential to, but he is tiny in frame. And Shogun MAY be able to with some luck

@UncutSports George you make a great point about how weak the 185 weight is. Sonnen praises its greatness and dismisses 205, yet I bet he would get destroyed by the top tier 1 and 2 fighters at 205. But the top of 185, while it holds potentially the greatest striker in MMA, his challenges are not nearly as comparable to what 170 or 205 champions have had to fight off. IMO: toughest to easiest is 155 > 170 > 205 (as Jones clears it out it is lowering to soon below 225) > 225 > 185 > 135 > 145.
If it is a one hour show. Expect commercials where Rogan would be talking between rounds and fights. Might not even have walk-ins, it'll just come back from commercial with both fighter stats lol. Already in Octagon. Just being announced their names.

I'm actually not sure where to place 135 . . . But Aldo has cleared out 145. Erik Koch is probably next, but he will need a prayer. Hoping Aldo jumps into the 155 mix sometime next year. So 185 is around 135, not sure which is more competitve.

BTW Rashad's UFC career has more luck in it than a bowl of Lucky Charms!
He got a title shot against Forrest. He fought Tito twice. Beat up the most out of shape Rampage ever. And now he's fighting a guy who may not actually be worth talking about. Just saying it's always 50-50 with up-and-comers.

The reason why Chael hasn't beat anyone in the division worth 2 cent is because there is no to beat in the middle weight division. Chael and Anderson are ONLY fights I'd say are A-S ranked fighters in the MW division.

I mean, it's not like that's a negative, and it certainly isn't like some no-name fighter is trying to shit talk a fighter, for example, frankie edgar, into a fight. Most of the guys who talk their way into a fight usually can back it up. IE: the Diaz brothers.

Munoz has had a lot of trouble with any wrestler hes fought, he has won but he has defiantly struggled and lost to Hamill and Okami. And keep in mind Sonnen has out wrestled D1 and Olympic wrestlers with a fair amount of ease really. Munoz could catch him with a heater but thats it. Fight's off so we won't know.

Phil Davis has a real chance at upseting Rashad here. Rashad starts a bit slow(tito fight no withstanding) but Rashad overall a better fighter at the moment improved striking. If this fight had occured when the Tito fight happened I would of had Phil but now I have Rashad.
Sonnen will beat Bisping far better wrestling than anyone Bisping has faced.

MMA maths is usually fallacious because styles make fights. But what happens when three guys have practically the same styles? Can you not use is then?
IMO Sonnen has excellent boxing. He's fast and he has good technique. He doesn't hit as hard as Munoz, but still.
Also, Sonnen has great cardio.
I prefer Bisping v sonnen, though

@antonyneal Trust me, that isn't why people are critical of Fedor. It is because he refused to fight in the UFC. While that may sound like UFC bias, historically the UFC has housed greater fighters than any of the places that Fedor has fought. I don't think anyone one criticize him today if he had came into the UFC and destroyed Brock then fought Cain. Sometimes you have to prove you are the best. Nick Diaz and Alistair will try to prove it. Fedor should have proved it. He is only 35 by the way.

The ufc currently has the best fighters in the world. But Pride in its hey day was just as deep as the ufc. And strikeforce had as many top ten heavy weights as the ufc when Fedor joined. Who knows exactly why he isnt fighting for the ufc? He proved he was the best in the world when he beat a prime crocop and prime big nog twice. I know Fedor is no longer the best but when you beat as many top ten ranked guys as Fedor did you have nothing left to prove.

Did you read what I said? Yes I know Fedor is not number one and I know he is no longer top ten. My point was he has had such a good career in mma beating a lot of top ten guys and was one of the first heavy weights to be dangerous in all positions. Those achievements mean he deserves respect as a mixed martial artiest even if he is not top tier any more.

And in Maia's fight with Munoz he was lighting Munoz UP on the feet. I know he's fighting Chris Weidman now but he could have beat Bisping on the feet. But i'd favour Bisping in that fight for sure.

Rashad is not fast enough tag jones. Something tells me that Phil Davis is a bit underrated. He's a very smart fighter, he has good wrestling, good submission game, and has decent stand-up (brian stann fight). Honestly when it comes to experience u have to give it to Rashad. Phil has more potential for sure and Rashad has been exposed (KO), but he has way more xperience and better wrestling, atleast from what i've seen. I'm predicting Phil Davis submission victory 4th rd.

Phil Davis beat one of the best 205'ers in Alexander Gustaffson (though he was more inexperienced back then, actually both were)
Evans and Machida are equally decent with stopping power. Lyoto's wins by ko are = to Evans' KOs, they both have two by punches. But lets not forget that Evans is one of Machida's two.
That being said, I don't see Jones getting TKO/KO'd by anyone but someone like Gustaffson. Hendo has potential to, but he is tiny in frame. And Shogun MAY be able to with some luck

@UncutSports George you make a great point about how weak the 185 weight is. Sonnen praises its greatness and dismisses 205, yet I bet he would get destroyed by the top tier 1 and 2 fighters at 205. But the top of 185, while it holds potentially the greatest striker in MMA, his challenges are not nearly as comparable to what 170 or 205 champions have had to fight off. IMO: toughest to easiest is 155 > 170 > 205 (as Jones clears it out it is lowering to soon below 225) > 225 > 185 > 135 > 145.

Munoz lost to Okami, an it was a horrible performance from him. Munoz may be the better wrestler, but i think Chaels the better mma fighter, an i think he would beat Munoz.
