@fatalerror945 You are 100% correct. I have many friends of mine, who were in Vietnam. They don't talk much about anything they had to do to survive. Including following orders. My friends have told me, that if anyone would have questioned those orders back then, they would never have survived coming home. They had no choice but to do the things they did. There were other intances like Mai Lia, but no one ever talked about those other situations. Mai Lia was one instance.

They weren't being shot genius. They were slaughtering unarmed civilians(non-combatants) men, women, and children. A 2 year old boy at is not a threat to a US soldier. How would you feel if members of your own family were killed by enemy troops? Would you be alright with them thinking, oh it's just war???
