I myself am a 4th degree black belt from the family of the Eun's (Korea Champion Fighters) and I say that even if you think that this kick is easy it doesn't matter. He is 9 you are 3 I'm pretty you he would take your head off with that kick while you be getting embarrassed by doing some "noobish" jumping front snap kick.

Or pop in to McNeely's studio in Dallas, Tx. You'll never see the kick to determine what it actually is.. this man is fast and World class Tae Kwon Do.
As a third degree, you ought to have more respect than to smart off to high ranks.
You are not listening/reading the reply. Master Whitlow is doing a spinning heal board break. Yes, a spinning hook does bend the knee. I have to use spinning hook b/c motorcycle accident. Regardless, your talking smack to the Pro's... Google: McNeely...then Google: yourself.
Drive on over to Murfeesburo and explain it to Whitlow..I'm sure he'll listen to a 3rd degree.
LoL.."noobs" I learned both the spin heel kick(leg straight) and the spin hook kick(bent leg)from Grand Master Mc Neely, they are two different kicks for different purposes..
two things, you tell me to train longer and learn more, which i do plan to do, but seeing as how im a third degree black belt in WTF Tae Kwon Do, i think i would know, keeping your leg straight is looked down upon in tae kwon do when your doing a spinning hook kick.
What you do is a spin-whip kick. While it can go around a block it is not nearly as powerful as a spin-heel, because you are allowing full rotation while keeping the leg straight. Like swinging an axe instead of swinging nunchucks. Also a 3rd degree in WTF is nothing to brag about, did it take you about a year to get there? Talk to me when you have studied REAL taekwondo, the ART not the sport.
Hello...If he was doing a "spin hook kick", it would be look down upon to bend the knee. However "That was not a spin hook kick" If you want to talk WTF ask Dr. Choue whom Grand Master McNeely knows and ask him his opinion on this kick.
Before you speak out against Taekwon Do you should really do more research. Crenshawone is a 4th degree black belt in Taekwon Do and has 30 years of training under his belt and Grand Master McNeely is one of the youngest Grand Masters Promoted to 9th Degree by the pioneers of Taekwon Do.
As a matter of fact.... I do. I will post some soon of Whitlow. I do have a few older fights posted, one with Thomas Chesterfield and one with Randy Parker. Take care! Bill
Great vids. crenshawone. Do you have any old ones of Master Whitlow, and would love to see some of yourself, I have heard lots of stories.. Keep em coming. ~ Billy Brown
Any orange belt should know the difference between a spin hook and a spin heel. Let alone a 3rd degree. That's what a spin heel looks like.

@theburninator9 crenshwone is right, A hook kick cocks the leg like a side kick, then kicks out, the "hooks" around.
