I just found out at this year's Bonilla Reunion, that we lost cousin Sammy Bonilla, to cancer, about 4 months ago. Sammy is the little kid at the end of the video (starts at 4:59). R.I.P. Sammy, and all other family members in this video who are no longer with us. We miss you all.

Even though the song is "Ya No Llore" I'm sitting here with a tear in my eye. Doug was without a doubt the best thing to come out of Texas ever! He knew good music when he heard it no matter the language. Miss you Doug. You'll never be forgotten.

Sir Doug, I am a big fan of your now that I discovered your music in 2009. Sorry you are no longer with us. I am quite impressed by your musical gifts that you left in the world. Your spirit lives on in your music and wish I could have seen you play before you moved on.... but your music does leave you're legacy behind and what really mattered to you! And it matters to me bro. You were the coolest Space Cowboy that ever lived.
