Superior technology? In what? Large screen TVs? Cars? Cell phones? Japan may have "superior technologies" but not in military hardware. They are light years behind. All of Japan's military hardware is bought or licensed from the US from thier air superiority fighters to the rifles the average infantryman carries. It would take them years to develop native military technologies on par with that of the US. Remember they haven't put a man in orbit by themselves yet!
