1) God cannot be proved or disproved, religion is an argument that can never be proven/dis-proven.
2) People believe in god, just encase there is one.
3) Most don't like the idea of just dying.
4) Science is answering questions that religion used to.

The problem with this world, is that everyone wants to say "their" way is better. instead if realizing that we are all bound together in something wonderful. That something is Faith.... I say do not worry about who or what is better. Have faith that there is something larger than us out there.
@2MOONPRESS Faith is very important but WHO to have faith in is what counts. I have faith that the there is a whole big universe out there but that is not going to help me at all. It is not about what way is "better", it is about what is Truth. Truth is what is important. I would rather know the truth and follow it, even if it meant I would have a difficult life then not know the truth and have a "feel good, love and flowers" life.
While I was meditating one day I received a short state of enlightenment. I learned that God loves all, and that is why all religions are allowed to be here on Earth. They will all, ultimately, lead us to Him in different ways. God loves all, and forgives all. No one religion is exactly right, and no one religion is completely wrong. Our ultimate mission is to become more like God, and learn to love all life and show respect in all aspects of life. Great music, Peace and Love to all!
@astralshift17 You are right in that God does love all but not all religions lead to God. That is an impossibility. ALL religions conflict and they ALL have different "gods". How can we be like God if we don't know God? We must find the right way to God to know Him and only then can we be like Him.
Having multiple religions is not evidence that God loves everyone. Multiple religions have different gods altogether. The question is: Who is really God and how can we know Him?

I try my best to show respect to all religions, unless they have proven themselves insane (Cults). Does He like to cause wars, conflict and confusion? All religions say they are the only way so if God created all these ways then He is a liar. Also, with respect, how do you know we get reincarnated? Also, what is spiritual fullness and perfection? Can imperfect people attain such a thing? What makes us closer to perfection?
@ashjesusfollower11 God didn't create all the religions, humans did. All religions we have now are a small piece of spiritual wholeness. One day we will all come together, and fully be in acceptance of God and spiritual fullness. To answer the other question, yes, even imperfect people can become perfect. Self realization, unconditional love, overcoming fear, and following our wills can take us closer to perfection and spiritual fullness. There is a difference between spirituality and religion.

To me, Religion is knowledge and acceptance of spirit and soul, Spirituality is using that knowledge to improve ourselves and our world. I don't know if you are into this sort of thing, but if you haven't heard of the Chakras you should read up on those, pretty interesting stuff that most spiritual people are based on.
@astralshift17 i have "been there" and that was why i chose to follow a religion actually. you are semi right...religion starts out as acknowledging and accepting that we have spirits and souls..but ive been taught that it shouldnt end there. for me, my religion has and still is helping me improve myself and my family. maybe a lot of people think that just believing is satisfactory...maybe ppl arent being taught properly? all i truly know is...for me, religion has been only good and helpful.

It is very good that you decided to develop yourself spiritually! However, I would like to point out that religion is more like a tool (for spirituality) than a goal in itself. Religion's main goal is to show you how to love/interact with the people around you. In the end, it is the heart that counts, not how well you know holy text like the bible / Torah / whatever. Feel free to only take from these texts what you need and leave the rest. I hope this is useful to you!

As I listen I imagine myself dissolving into my constituent parts. The innumerable atoms that build and bind me to this world. I can still identify myself at first, but then I notice the world around me dissolving as well. I reach out to it but my grasp holds nothing. I simply melt away into it, joining the ethereal sea of atoms in which I am but a bubble floating on its waves. With this image my appreciation for the universe grows and I humble myself to it. I am the world, the world is me.

Kitlings, enough with the finger pointing. I do not understand why on earth people must bring in religion with music, music is for everyone of every path. Not all religion is corruptive, it is people who make it corruptive. And yelling with FULL CAPS, or telling people to shut up gives them the unexplainable desire for their words to draw attention. It is not about what way is "better", it is about what is Truth. Truth is what is important. While I was meditating one day I received a short state of enlightenment. I learned that God loves all, and that is why all religions are allowed to be here on Earth. They will all, ultimately, lead us to Him in different ways. God loves all, and forgives all. No one religion is exactly right, and no one religion is completely wrong. Our ultimate mission is to become more like God, and learn to love all life and show respect in all aspects of life. Great music, Peace and Love to all!

@astralshift17 You are right in that God does love all but not all religions lead to God. That is an impossibility. ALL religions conflict and they ALL have different "gods". How can we be like God if we don't know God? We must find the right way to God to know Him and only then can we be like Him.
Having multiple religions is not evidence that God loves everyone. Multiple religions have different gods altogether. The question is: Who is really God and how can we know Him?

Does He like to cause wars, conflict and confusion? All religions say they are the only way so if God created all these ways then He is a liar. Also, with respect, how do you know we get reincarnated? Also, what is spiritual fullness and perfection? Can imperfect people attain such a thing? What makes us closer to perfection?

@ashjesusfollower11 God didn't create all the religions, humans did. All religions we have now are a small piece of spiritual wholeness. One day we will all come together, and fully be in acceptance of God and spiritual fullness. To answer the other question, yes, even imperfect people can become perfect. Self realization, unconditional love, overcoming fear, and following our wills can take us closer to perfection and spiritual fullness. There is a difference between spirituality and religion.

@astralshift17 There is a saying out, "Religion is for those who are afraid of going to hell. Spirituality is for those who have been there." To me, Religion is knowledge and acceptance of spirit and soul, Spirituality is using that knowledge to improve ourselves and our world. I don't know if you are into this sort of thing, but if you haven't heard of the Chakras you should read up on those, pretty interesting stuff that most spiritual people are based on.

@astralshift17 i have "been there" and that was why i chose to follow a religion actually. you are semi right...religion starts out as acknowledging and accepting that we have spirits and souls..but ive been taught that it shouldnt end there. for me, my religion has and still is helping me improve myself and my family. maybe a lot of people think that just believing is satisfactory...maybe ppl arent being taught properly? all i truly know is...for me, religion has been only good and helpful.

And where do you get the idea that there is nothing after death? From someone who has not experienced what happens after death? That seems trivial. You disbelieve it because you cannot see it. It is very good that you decided to develop yourself spiritually! However, I would like to point out that religion is more like a tool (for spirituality) than a goal in itself. Religion's main goal is to show you how to love/interact with the people around you. In the end, it is the heart that counts, not how well you know holy text like the bible / Torah / whatever. Feel free to only take from these texts what you need and leave the rest. I hope this is useful to you!

One can use the mind power to change his DNA! i know it sounds outrageous..most of our mind is being controled by media, history, documents, family and etc, so its hard to walk away from hundreds of years of "this is the way it should be" and change your cells overnight. however, it makes it a more interesting debate :)

As I listen I imagine myself dissolving into my constituent parts. The innumerable atoms that build and bind me to this world. I can still identify myself at first, but then I notice the world around me dissolving as well. I reach out to it but my grasp holds nothing. I simply melt away into it, joining the ethereal sea of atoms in which I am but a bubble floating on its waves. With this image my appreciation for the universe grows and I humble myself to it. I am the world, the world is me.
