Having met the Ukrainian Patriarch we were not impressed, as Orthodox Christians (non-Ukrainian) with his piety nor with his spiritual depth. One can sense this as the hierarch prays the Divine Liturgy. Nothing there but Ukrainian flag-waving..a nationalist movement wrapped in the Holy services. Just our private thoughts here...
