  • BOB UBER ALLES

  • nowadays musicians can't write a great song that is even half the length of this song.

  • @batman9936 Length has nothing to do with how good a song is.

  • @batman9936 you ever heard ''Till the morning comes'' from Neil Young? briljant song but unfortenately only one minut long and only a few lines. like spiker said, Length has nothing to do with how good a song is.

  • 田馥甄。

  • I broke the like button D:

  • HOOOOOOOOOOOOOW DOES IT FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL

  • Thank you so much for this song...forever in our hearts..

  • lyric poetry *puffs cigarette*

  • I wish I could go back in time and listen to him play this in the Village.

  • yess, no LMFAO adds on this song...

  • 334 people have no soul =/

  • This shouldn't really be called his best song honestly, i think that blowin' in the wind was alot better really

  • i love being born in the 90's and all but one thing i cant deny the older generations has the better music by far.

  • @poland279 agreed.

  • 334 people thought they got it made

  • You say Justin Bieber I say Bob Dylan

You say Lady Gaga I say Joan Baez

You say Usher I say Jimi Hendrix

You say The Black Eyed Peas I say The Mamas & the Papas

You say Rap I say Folk, Rock, Blues

You say Emo I say Hippie

    2012........Sucks

  • @60sRockBluesFolk The Mamas & The Papas = <3

  • @60sRockBluesFolk thats what the conservative parents in 1960 said

    learn to tolerance

  • <33333 i love bob dylan.

  • this is rated the greatest song of all time on rollingstonedotcom...

  • <3 <3

  • like a rolling stoner

  • @r0llsyay0 in the first line I ment to put *Bob

  • @r0llskyay0 hold on, if it weren't for bb Dylan then rock and roll would probably not exist because he was the first person to actually experiment with music. And if it weren't for him the Beatles would be nothing. But that is your opinion so I'm not going to be a pissy person about it, I was just giving you my perspective, Have A Nice Day :)

  • @CaptinDuh How would the Beatles be nothing without Bob Dylan? The Beatles were already the biggest band in the world when they met Bob Dylan so it's certain the Beatles would've became a huge musical act even if Bob Dylan didn't exist and its certain Bob Dylan would've still became a huge musical act without the Beatles. They were on their own paths to stardom and didn't need each other to get there. Their paths crossed after they had already become famous. They both are tops in my mind!

  • @rsdcllc Christ will no-one rid us of this bible-bashing, shit-kicking nerk (@rsdcllc)

  • @youtubiedoobie See, you're always trying to shut people up. Either, you believe in freedom or you don't! It's obvious you don't, unless the person spews hate, venom with a whole lot of stupidity thrown in, just like you do! I don't think you're capable of engaging in a logical conversation!

  • I'd love Bob Dylan even if nobody else did.. probably little more. I think people had the right mind set back in the day. I think it was that they were focused in the moment and not the future. I think it was they were happy with what they had and not what they could have. I think sadly nothing is ever good enough for the people now a days.

  • @mandeeCC12 My feelings exactly, Sir. It is a source of great sadness to me that nothing really is good enough these days. But we soldier on, ay?

  • heroin junkies make great artists.

  • music have little impact in society today, today you buy a song online, listen to it, if you like the beat to it, you like it. then you put it in your mp3 and forget about it not caring about the lyrics. im 18 and even i can tell music now suck.

  • fuck off all you Dylan faggots, Odd Future and Lil Wayne are the music of our generation. quit living in the past you pricks and get with the times. i'm so over all this hype over this boring, talentless jew who sounds like shit these days

  • @yeman123lad If you hate his music so much, why the hell do you waste your time searching for his videos and commenting on them? That makes absolutely no sense.

  • @yeman123lad songs today do suck, stop being ignorant and stop listening to only justin bieber and rebecca black. when you get a taste of REAL music then you will realize "o shit, this is amazing!"

  • @jct200 just letting you know that my previous comment was a complete troll on my behalf, i fucking love dylan. i think lil wayne is fucking shit, however i don't mind odd future and i think tyler, the creator is actually pretty creative. pardon the pun. however dylan does sound quite terrible these days. i know you will agree with me on that

  • @yeman123lad If you were any where near me i would gut you and show you your insides as you die you sad excuse for a human being. Lil wayne is a filthy nigger with zero talent, "wow i can sing about bitches and cars all day long"

    Die fucker

  • @mikefreer1987 you just made my day good sir

  • @mikefreer1987 why don't you say what you really mean?

  • @yeman123lad Odd Future and Lil Wayne communally suck knobs.

  • Officially the #1 song ever written, ay? I dig it!

  • 334 people have some issues and don't know greatness

  • Sounds like Angel of Harlem by U@. The first beat does any ways.

  • @IveGotTheNuts

u2's angel of harlem sounds like dylan's like a rolling stone......the first beat

  • @IveGotTheNuts How can a song that came first sound "like" one that came after?

If you hear a song that sounds like a Bob Dylan song, it's because that artists used to listen to Bobby. Bob Dylan is the most influential singer to have ever lived, it's not surprising that so many emulate him and his multiple styles.

  • Bob Dylan - Forever a Legend!

  • michal jackson check

    amy whinejew check

    whitney hoe-ston check

bob dyljewan ch...WAIT! looks like i'll haf 2 get on the red eye 2 new york and grab my bag of untraceable drugs!!!

  • Personally, I think Bob Dylan was probably the most notable person to ever have been born. He didn't like being called a legend or a spokesman or anything, but his music and existence definitely had universal significance on society. Listen to any song, and you'll hear a little bit of Bob. "The way Elvis free'd your body, Bob free'd your mind".

  • @moisawesomeqwerty he was a sick con-man jew just like all jews

  • @RoyBoyRocket I say, steady on old chap. The fact that he is a kike shouldn't enter the equasion, should it?

  • Comment removed

  • @moisawesomeqwerty and while Saint Bob freed minds (presumably you would assert he freed the minds of all possessors of taste - what Lenny Cohen referred to as the keepers of truth, the guardians of beauty), Google/Youtube opened up the floodgates to all manner of pseuds, intellectual ne'er-do-wells, and downright tasteless nits. And possibly the most insiduous of them all, the friggin religious thickies.

  • @moisawesomeqwerty

Bob Dylan is the most notable person ever born? Most people don't even like Dylan. More people talk about Jesus and he was born like 2 millenium ago. and Buddha, and Mohammed.... Maybe you could say he is the most notable musician born during the 20th century, but even that is a stretch. I'd vote for the Beatles. Dylan is just a footnote in history. I'm sorry but you are just completely wrong.

  • I wouldn't quite agree that he is completely wrong. Close to it, but it does seem to me, however, that he is more in error by joining the baying throng in the admiring of the emperor's new clothes.

  • @r0llskyay0 Mr. Dylan is much more than just a footnote in history! Granted, I feel confident that Mr. Bob wouldn't agree that he's most notable person ever born, but he's no minor character, either!

  • @moisawesomeqwerty i second that!... well said!

  • i hate people who clog up the comment by having conversations in them....

  • @tundraman217 Totally agree. These wankers (people) “who clog up the comment by having conversations in them” are akin to the inconsiderate twats who take cups of tea and broadsheet newspapers into the Gary Glitter and sit there for hours, often leaving behind themselves the most god-awful Dame Judi (not intending any disrespect to her esteemed nibs).

  • Songs dont get any better when they mean something to you, this song is one of those songs and possibly one of the best ever.

  • @UltimateGamerx24 SO True, me too!! I still feel Bob Dylan is Underrated! After all these Decades, and almost Everyone doing a cover of at least one of his songs, the comedians just poke fun, other ppl too..Damn He is a Legend man!!

  • @DFoxHope When you say he is underrated, do you mean those cloth-eared bastards who post negative comments about The Perfect Master are talking out of their fundaments?

  • @youtubiedoobie Exactly what i meant! BOB is a Living Legend~!!!

  • @DFoxHope eh? what?

  • Possibly one of the greatest songs ever baby!!! Oh, and MrWsad, let's not discuss religion while listening to GREAT music . . .dick!

  • mother... fucking... CLASSIC

  • @ricochetrob try "times they are a changing"

  • best song ever

  • Whether you think this is the "best" song ever or not, this was one of the couple songs along with Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones that changed American culture and Worldwide culture for that matter forever. The Golden age of Elvis and Johnny Cash birthed the brand new sound of Rock n Roll and then 10 years later this music brought a generation higher than any other music had before. ;)

  • 329 people are not like a rolling stone

  • Young Bobbie skipped along MacDougal with not a care in the world. He was on his way to the bus station to catch a bus for Brooklyn State Hospial to see his buddie, Woody. He clutched his flat top guitar and a lyric sheet with his latest song. A song of protest and irony based on a recent visit to Finkel's when the gefilte fish had turned out to be rancid and inedible. A sudden gust of wind caught his yarmulke and it blew off down the street, in the wind. Oi gevalt!

  • One of my least favorite Bob Dylan pieces.

  • i find it sad that when you type in "like a.." like a g6 comes up before this.

  • There is a great rift forming in society, through passive aggressive actions, some via the internet. Don't feed into it. Be adults, you have different beliefs, and the sight of the other side of your beliefs looks weird and awkward, so rather than just communicate that, you banter in passive ways, Love one another, its waaaaaay fucking better

  • Good song. THAT being said, ... Dylan is the most overrated artist ... in the history of the world!

Jim Croce makes him look like a f'n hack! And that's a fact jack!

  • @ricochetrob you're the example of perfect objectivism... I like J C... he was a very good singer and songwriter... but... c'mon!

  • @mywishLE I should put my comment in context ... I had just read Bob Dylan's wikipedia page. It cited the fact that Bob Dylan was the 2nd rated artist of the entire century. Obviously, I STRENUOUSLY disagree with that ranking, (not to mention the incessant praise he receives via the media.)

  • @ricochetrob He may be overrated, but you have to admit he is really good.

  • @Thatpastaiscold I think he's a "really good" activist, Top 2 of the century maybe. I think he's just a "good" artist. I like his hits, scratch that, ... just songs - Lay Lady Lay, Shelter From The Storm, and Hurricane. I've only heard a few others, and I'm going to need someone to recommend his "best" songs if I'm ever to change my mind about his ability as musician.

  • @ricochetrob umm... i'm guessing you haven't heard it's alright ma

  • @ricochetrob Yeah. His singing is not the best. Hell, a child can sing better. I'll admit that. It's the message that speaks. It's his message that animates his voice.

  • @ricochetrob Try " Up to Me", " She Belongs to Me", "Tell Me That It Isn't True", " Hard Rain's Gonna Fall", just to name a few

  • i like bob dylans music very much every song tells a story, its such a great pity he invested most of is millions of dollars in american jewish arms and weapons companys, double standerds bob,why did you do this, such a shame such a pity man.

  • To me this his song is about first being on your own in life, leaning life lessons and dealing with bad times and moving on. I dont see Jesus anywhere in it.

  • 1:36

  • Some girl in my history class asked me: 'Who's Bob Dylan?' when we were talking about 60's/70's music. I mentally threw a chair to her face.

  • @gongasslb I can relate, good for you!

  • Wow, people in this comment section are so much more smarter than other videos.

  • Well I think Bob Dylan is one of the best songwriters EVER and this song is a good example. I think this song is good but I don't think it should be considered number 1 by Rolling Stones. I think Stairway To Heaven should because it i think it is more impressive overall with talent in the music and vocals, but Like a Rolling Stone is a brilliant song as well. Maybe top 5?

  • correction best song writer ever and this song is voted best because even modern music lovers can understand his message as i have said before he does not have the gift of a powerful voice that moves people instead he writes lyrics that so. any way this message is easy to understand the better songs have more poetic verses such as fore ever young, lily, rosmary, and the jack of hearts, and don't think twice its all right. these are my personal favorites but many yet to hear basicaly he's the best

  • I just cut my hair to look like Bob's!

  • I don't think this is the greatest song of all time. I don't even think it's Bob Dylan's best song.

  • lil wayne>bob dylan

  • Comment removed

  • @seaninboise Who or what is a lil wayne?

  • @seaninboise- u cant compare sht from the 60's to the new day n age of music....this is one of the best songs of all time bc of the impact of bob dylan n the way he made his music without soundboards n all tht technical sht...music would not b wat it is 2day if it wasnt for him, learn to appt music

  • @seaninboise You must be musically retarded.

  • @seaninboise You're a troll.

    I hope

  • @originapranksta either your joking or the biggest fucking retard

  • @originapranksta haha that was hilarious

  • @originapranksta obvious troll is obvious

  • If you check, according to Rolling Stone mag, this song is STILL the number one greatest song ever written. Now that is saying something! Rock on Bob...

  • I was tryin to say " you better take that diamond ring you better pawn it babe" is my favorite line in this song

  • Well its most definatly one of the greatest songs ever. "U beytrt take that

  • I saw Bob Dylan live recently and he's still a great performer. He doesn't simply plays the songs, he gives a unique interpretation of his music everytime he is on stage.

He's a master and he keeps challenging himself.

  • @Vertigo2903 im pretty sure you get off a rollercoaster at the same spot you got on

  • I can't agree that this is the greatest song of all time, but it's definitely great.

  • I absolutely love this song, and officially I can say I'm listening to the greatest song of all time!!

    <3 Bob Dylan

  • Great song! Reminiscing!!!!! Good times!

  • lol this the best song ever written ? ISHYGDDT

  • thanks to woody there would be no bob

  • best songwriter of all time...period

  • I do not think anyone except Jimi Hendrix has gotten away with covering a Bob Dylan song.

    Thank you, Jimi.

  • this song is like a roller coaster...it starts in one in one place and by the end you don't know where the hell you are anymore..

  • Bloomfield!

  • no words to describe thus song...

thank you rolling stone for your 100 best songs chart...this song is just the number 1!

  • Once upon a time...skid row...been there

  • there is no way to make this song better, it's perfect.

  • could someone take the time to watch my guitar video i think i'm decent

  • @816guitarman lol no

  • some people need to open there eyes 1. He is a terrible singer but he over came that by instead of having a voice that moves people having lyrics that do. 2. You can think its relgion or not it doesn't matter.

  • this is real music

  • 1:37 haha funny :)

  • y r u al bringing religion and stuff into this just listen to the song and respect the lyrics of the great bob dylan and shut the heck up

  • To people who hate on bob dylan, sure he wasent the best singer but his lyrical abilty and originallity are what make him so good.If he sucked why would artist cover his songs you ignorant bastards.

  • Like my grandpap says - "I personally don't have anything against Bob, but this song is just a bunch of hateful bullshit"

  • This man is highly overrated he has an absolutely obnoxious voice and the only part of him that has talent is his ability to write a song that anybody can sing better than this guy. I listened to this song because everybody says its the absolute best or at least one of the best...bullshit

  • @Lperson24 You're not the only one with that opinion, you know, but this isn't the best place to voice it.You are just going to get anger from a comment like that. The people here love this man, he is a leader of many.We don't think his voice is obnoxios at all.We think it is the perfect pure voice of a troubadour prophet. And while we may be biased;we think he deserves all the recognition he gets and more. And like it or not, people can love whatever they want, and it doesn't matter what you think.

  • @bellaluna423 and by the same token, it matters not a fuck what you think either. Tosser.

  • I understand now that" justice" as it may be, be it mainstream or underground, is not justice at all... It is a continuation of an endless pattern of victimization, victimizer victimized, victim victimizer finds more victims, and so on....

  • Bobby... It feels shitty... That's all I got to say about that... I'm so sorry....

  • "How does it feel to be on your own, no direction"? This songs echos what Jesus said: "If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and withers" (Jn 15:6). I like this song for its spiritual message

  • @morito1u1 Like my grandpap says - "And Hitler said he who does not abide in me, is sent to a concentration camp. Fuck you! and your insane religious bullshit"

  • @morito1u1 why do religious people always see 'spiritual messages' everywhere? Just listen to the words, or, better, read them. Couldn't it also be interpreted as: 'How does it feel to be a vulnerable human being, alone in the universe, without the support and cosseting of the supernatural? But no, YOU see Jesus everywhere.

  • @999valeria Where did you learn your manners? Don't abuse mentally handicapped people.

  • @MrWsad

Bob Dylan said himself he was a Christian at one point at least so... is he one of the greatest musicians of all time or... mentally handicapped?

  • @9Padrino he was jewish growing up. he wa sborn jewish

  • @9Padrino Both, perhaps.

  • @9Padrino He's a Legend-You would have to be a Caring Christian to write the songs he did! Gifted and Blessed~! All of his songs carry Important Messages! Loved him for Decades now!

  • @DFoxHope God bless you my child. And take no notice of those bastards who say Dylan is an unreformed wanker.

  • @999valeria "You can tell more about a man from what he says about others, than from what others say about him." -Leo Aikman

  • @83169 That's a good quote!

  • @999valeria 'Cause he IS everywhere...

  • @999valeria plus I think he was still jewish when this song came out

  • @LouisSarano Bob was Jewish then and Jewish now. Jesus was Jewish also. Jesus is the Messiah foretold by the Jewish prophets, and He is the fulfillment of Judaism.

  • @psychkoala the fuck he is.

  • @999valeria I couldn't agree with you more.

  • Comment removed

  • @999valeria I wonder why "seeing jesus everywhere" is such a bad thing. It might be delusional, but I doubt those people are hurting anyone.

  • @caesarkreshen They can see jesus all they want. I just dont want to hear about it. Maybe i should just ignore it... but willful ignorance bugs me.

  • @UndeadFatality I wouldn't call it ignorance. You can know something is there and not be bothered by it. I'd call it rising above. There are all kinds of annoying people on the internet, and of course some of them are great at getting a response. Even when we reply, we know it's a lost cause.

  • @caesarkreshen Wise, wise philosophy
