try mounting the nv unit infront of the scope using pvc pipe and two stiff rubber link pieces and some jubilee clamps you should be able to see your crosshairs and keep the scope at a nice distance from your eyes, better off with a 32 or 40 mm obj lense on the scope as iits easier to mount to the front then, other option is to but a cheap low mag scope and remove the front lense then attach the nv unit to the front, gives you crosshairs you can zero plus nv :-D
@lilvfr400boy Thanks for your suggestions and after work tonight I tried to hold the monocular to my day scope but as this scope has magnification 3-9 the image wasn't suitable. I like the idea though and I'm going to find a low magnification or cheap scope to experiment with, I'll let you know if it turns our succesful, thanks again, Neil
@MrSlarty666 I can't put the bresser on my my scope as it has 5x magnification and wont see the crosshairs. I purely use the bresser as a stalking aid then use the traditional method of flicking on the lamp to take the shot.
@MrSlarty666 Yes mate, bresser sell a 2x mag front lense that can be interchanged with the standard 5x but I have no idea on costs. My good friends on verminhunter also recemmend a scope with PX adjustment for focus but I only use a standard Bushnell scope so I guess I'll have to keep using it for spotting.
@jandninyorks ive just bought a bresser 3x30 on fleabay i had to buy it ...£50 i tried it out last night , best 50 quid ive spent in a long while. White eyes everywhere and the best thing was the little suckers could'nt see me lol, yep your right about the crosshairs, cant see them , but then i dug out a red dot scope i had with no mag, i tried that ...... hey presto i had an aimpoint and you can see the dot clearly when the nv is on.
@jandninyorks piece of rubber tube to fit over the nv and the scope cable tie or jubilee clips to tighten them up and away you go, i havent been out with it yet but i will soon i'll let you know how i get on. ;-)
@MrSlarty666 I'll look forward to hearing your results mate, I'd never thought of a red scope with no magnification, this could be a superb setup for ratting. HHhhhhmmmmm, thanks for the info.
@jandninyorks well i tried it and i found a slight problem ... the red dot was a little too bright , i'm using a red dot sight which has 3 red dots verticaly and has a brightness control, even the lowest is a bit too bright a really dim dot would do the trick i think .... time for a bit of head scratching ;-)
@jandninyorks no worries buddy, i got rid of the glare by using a old camera negative bit like a ir filter you see on fleabay used on lamps for hunting, i'll be trying it this weekend hopefully if i get a chance. i'll let you know how i get on.
@Gr8funTargets - Eyup Dan, I use a normal video out cable from the bresser and a Sony Camcorder to record the image. I'm gonna try make another vid now I have sussed out how to use the bresser properly.
do the rabbits on the new shoot run round with miners lamps on their heads also why didnt you go for the long legged ones in the back ground, even i could hit those!!
@trangia777 - Takes too much gutting for the long legged ones bro, taste damn good with a splash of mint sauce though and they dont run as fast as the rabbits, hhhmmm might have a go and hang one off your shed door.
Eyup Cynic, mainly around thirty yards mate but my difficulty was, it was all filmed on my first visit to a new shoot, I'd only gone to see the landowner but ended being told to go for a wander around.

@MrSlarty666 I have use of a bresser 5x50.
For the price paid I have to say it works well. Not been able to mount it onto a scope though.
