@NESherv Thanks! It actually was a low budget restoration, we paid about 3 k (not quite sure) for the car and parts. It took us more than half a year but the project isn't finished yet. There are still a few things we need to work on.
@Skyward15 Oh sorry Sir, I should ask my dad to remove it. How dare he put a Quattro decal on a fwd Audi? Seriously dude, noone sane minded gives two shits about that. It's his car so he can do whatever he wants with it. People like you really piss me off. Bet you don't even have a car let alone one of these Audis.
i have an 87 coupe gt. And i have converted it to quattro using an audi 4000. I'd highly recommend it! Oh speaking of when you ask your dad to remove the badge i'd like to buy it from you guys.
I love these old Audis!!! Always been my dream to own one. I live in a condo and don't have room to restore one and definitely couldn't afford one in great condition though. LOL
@iLoveEatingPie Didn't you read my comment? Of course they are stock, but expensive just the same! They cost about 300 bucks I heard. Body parts for these cars are very expensive.
@SaveOldCars Dude, I owned a typ81 Audi 80 a while ago and considered replacing the bumpers and headlights with those from the A90. The price for both headlights didn't exceed 40$ if we convert it into US currency. Used, from a taken apart vehicle, of course. I still have plenty of parts lying around from that car, you don't need to tell me about the prices of those things. The Coupe itself isn't worth more than 1000$ at good condition, how can one pay a third of that for headlights alone?
@iLoveEatingPie I seriously don't know where you've been hiding all these years. These cars cost about 2000 Euro in bad driver's condtition (like the one in the vid was), and about 4-8 k (easily 12 k for Quattros) for really good ones. Check mobile.de if you don't believe me.
@SaveOldCars Quattro Coupes are worth much more, that's true, especially UrQuattro. But regular coupes? I haven't ever seen one that went above 1500 euros here, even at great condition. I'd only pay that much for a perfectly restored one, and even then 2k is an overkill.
@iLoveEatingPie where do you live, i live in the Netherlands and they cost about 5000 euro here. I would really like to import on from where you live.
Nice to see that people are working on these cars BUT, if you are making body works then remove rust ja weld all the places. Right now you just sanded just a little bit and then painted. This car is going to rust soon, very soon. You painted with sparys?
@kewwu We didn't sand "just a a little bit" We made sure to remove all the rust, then used rust converter and a special primer. Of course, the fenders will rust sooner or later, (the driver side one was a complete mess) but when that happpens we'll just sand them again. That's a race car replica, no trailer queen. It's a driver. (just in summer, of course.) We used a paint roller for the primer, the white paint and the clear coat, for the stripes we used spray cans.
@Carfanatic1973 lol Ich denke mit dem anderen video (Audi Coupé engine sound) habe ich das bereits genug bewiesen. Außerdem - wenn noch ein Video, dann fahr ich selbst! =D
@GodericG Thanks alot, bro. I really appreciate that you've put it on your channel! You don't need to keep it there forever though. Your usual watchers would be kinda confused I guess ;)
Thanks again, we've tried to build a proper rally car, it's been a lot of work but now it's the most recognizeable car in town! Someone even called the police (I bet my neighbor) because he thought it wouldn't be street legal! I hope I'll be able to show you the car in person one day.
Nice Job on that Audi Coupé GT Restoration . I don't know too much about Audis is that you know its one by just looking at it goes down the road with those Circles in the grill you just can't miss that symbol. What year is it ?
Nice work buddy! Congrats to you & your dad. You do realize though that when you you finally get that Plymouth, you're gonna have to make your garage longer! haha Cheers man!
@uberman145 Thanks Vince! Would be cool if you could take a few photos of it. By the way, I really like your project cars. Keep up the good work brother.
@SaveOldCars thanks. i suck at editing so most likely i'd have to take a video of it. but yeah, thats all he buys is audis, that one i mentioned is on the road and he has about 3 or 4 more that are NEWER than it and they are all unregistered they just sit around collecting dust under tarps, usually its the other way around
lovely car!! Nice job!!
I also own an audi coupe gt, the gold edition (just front wheel, no quattro! =( )
Do you have some more pictures of your car?

@iLoveEatingPie Huh? Of course not!

@SaveOldCars Then it's a sticker? Because those sure as hell are not s1 headlights.
