Yeah it's definitely true, no matter what you compare them on Kefka is superior for his time period. In fact Sephiroth is in many ways based off of Kefka, afterall Sephiroth is a one winged angel and Kefka at the end of the game takes the form of what...? A deformed / dark angel... hmm........

Agreed - This surpasses the FF7AC OST for me, no question.

So much of that OST felt like a totally different sound, from what was originally heard in FF7 the game. It tried to be original unto itself and ended falling into over-remixed obscurity with a number of tracks. Sad really, considering the money involved.

For me, it's old-school music, like in this video, that will never die. It's a sound that remains immortal decades later, and can be remixed anew for generations to come.
