From E3 '10: Battlestar Galactica MMO with Dr Jan Wergin

So... if they're being so 'strict' in regards to the show, how could they possibly handwave human 'resurrection'? This is an MMO, with huge battles. People are gonna die. And with one very notable exception, once a human dies that's it, there ain't no comin' back.

yeah the game is so gorgeous they didnt show any gameplay what so ever only the cgi trailer.

ill admit its a fun game but some aspects such as making money is stupidly hard, resources are annoying somtime caue u'll barely find any and wen u do and start to mine it an enemy spawns and starts attacking you.

but again ill admit those aspects is what make the game fun because like in the series you struggle to make it and you dont want to have all the stuff in the game in 2 days.

but please expline me.. from trailer I can see those are cylons from second war, but then how can this be MMO if you only have ~43k humans and unlimited amount of Cylons, and not talking about handful of vipers, raptors and there pilots.. and having only Galactica, well ok Pegasus too maybe but still. and from series they wasn't making new birds, only made one which got destroyed after few episodes. so.. really how can this story make good MMO...?

@Disxx the beast was churning out new mk7s, and this is set in series 2 therefore the beast is there

@Disxx There are several possibilities to bolster the human contingent. Without knowing what the designers have already done, it is always possible that other Battlestars survived. Not every one of them had to be in port at the time of the massacre. There is also a possibillity that this entire game could be built on the foundation of what would have happened if you were in control at the time the ambush occurred. Maybe things would be different with different choices made during the battle.
