I remember "buying" his first CD via his MySpace site. William was so unknown that he was literally mailing copies across the country. The package came with his handwriting on it. Ever since I listened to that first song on Until When We're Ghosts, I've loved every single one of his songs. Such a good musician, making real music with real lyrics. He deserves every bit of credit he does get, and deserves WAY more.

He doesn't look that odd to me. The homeless guy from the late 60's, early 70's look is very common among folk and/or indie musicians. A flannel or v-neck shirt, thick black-rimmed glasses, some kind of stalking cap, and a beard are pretty much the uniform for that group of people. I could point out one of them in a crowd of people as easily as I could point out, say, a man in an Army uniform.
