@mossyoakcamo27 Mossy. Let me clarify. I am hunting on the Red Sioux Indian Reservation under Tribal Law. Hunting with a inline scoped muzzle loader is legal on the Reservation.
Are you an out of stater or were you using a muzzleloader during the rifle season. (Using a scope on a muzzleloader is prohibited during muzleloader season in South Dakota-residents for sure.) I wasn't sure about non-res or rifle season. I've been applying for a muzzleloader tag for 4 years and havn't drawn so i'm not sure how far to shoot with for open sights
I am from Alaska hunting the reservation. I would check the regulations again. Both Ne and SD have recently changed the regulations reguarding muzzle loaders.
To deer hunt on the rez you have to have an indian guide or someone that is married to a native living on the rez.

@cusackla
With a Muzzleloader only tag, only 1X scopes are legal. When using a Muzzleloader with a general deer tag, magnification is allowed.

Were you using a scope with your muzzleloader?

Morning,
I was using the Nikon Omega with the BDC reticle. If I were to do it again I would go with the Leupold Ultimate Slam
