This makes me so mad! These docs are so ignorant and these insurance companies are committing fraud and eventually murder in my eyes. They won't pay for any medical tests I need related to Lyme and they won't pay for the antibiotics-I am worth nothing it seems. This is the biggest medical disaster of our time.

its in my head now, the head pain is the worst of all pains I have ever had to live with. somedays I wish I would just die to be rid of the pain... LYME SUCKS and so do most doctors. they dont listen to us as their patients but we are suppose to listen to them "its all in your head there is nothing wrong with YOU"

I have Lyme disease, I know what means doctors who don't believe you. I was almost dying many times. Hope to get better and help others who are fighting with this. I'm very sorry for Leslie.

I was diagnosed with Lyme in September this year. I still go from doctor to doctor for help because I am getting sicker, and they ALL tell me I must just be crazy, and there is nothing wrong with me. I had the Lyme rash the blood tests were all positive, I have had a headache for two months,my knees and elbows are killing me, I forget everything, I am tired.Why is it more likely that I am crazy than that I am experiencing Lyme symptoms? Seeing the video and comments help me not to feel so alone.

My dear friend Leslie will be missed by all- words cannot express the sincere sympathies I have for Tracie/Paula/Jade & her entire family. The "Lyme Community" has lost the most passionate person.  You could always count on Les lifting you up when you were down even when she was sick herself. Let's all work together to keep Leslie's legacy alive- and continue to educate/advocate/help complete strangers in desperate need of help. Deepest sympathies and God bless...

This is incredibly sad. I understand people not listening, not hearing, not taking your symptoms seriously and somehow making you feel you have no right to your own feelings... no right to be heard, no right to get support... people have no idea how hard it is to have varying symptoms day in and day out or to feel so emotionally and physcially drained. There have been people "friends" I directly asked for help, who would not even acknowledge I said anything,Doctors who patronized... it must end.

Leslie although we never met we had a common friend between us and we cared a lot for each other. We share the same battle and I will continue to make people aware of Lyme for as long as I am alive. We will meet one day - until then, enjoy your healthy life in heaven.

I just found out about Leslie. I still can't believe she's gone. She was a wonderful friend, and a wonderful person. It's because of her I can help so many other lymies. Thank you for everything Les. I will miss you so much.

Tracie and Leslie are awesome. They are the brightest and truest spirits in the Lyme community that I have ever met. This loss is so tragic, it has been keeping me up at night. I met Leslie just days before her death at the 2008 ILADS conference. Her spirit touched me even then. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless and keep you Leslie and we will never forget your kindness, passion and spirit which reached across thousands of miles as if it were next door. -Bryan Rosner

I am so sad that she died but I am relieved that it was in her sleep and I really hope she was not suffering. I suffer every night and I just really hope she was peaceful. God Bless her.

This woman was amazing. She speaks and says exactly how I feel.. how most of us feel. She didnt have to die either.. no one with lyme should have, and I have lost many friends to this. Stay angry everybody! Mad is way better than sad! Use your anger to fight! Anger is a very strong emotion.. and it can carry you thru this. No one.. with any other disease has had to go thru what we have had to endure!
