  • Well nevermind! Nice dunks at the end!

  • I think you can dunk if you work on ball control and explosiveness when going up for the dunk

  • 8th grade 5'7 and i can snap rim

  • im a 5'6 7th grader 13 years old, my goal is to dunk in high school. I can already touch the net but i really am looking to increasing my vert. any exercises you can give me?

  • you should be able to dunk if u try going off one foot and getting a running start. you have the hops.

  • im 5"8 tall 14 years old and i can dunk

  • dont jump of both of ur feet jump of 1

  • nice but lets not steal jacob tuckers music shall we?

  • how much was ur vertical leap? standing still

  • i think that u are focusing a lot on hanging on the rim. just try and dunk it without hanging.

it might be easier for u. i know it is for me

  • how tall were you?

  • @wgreyerygf 6 ft

  • @nba8340 man u were taller than 6 ft

  • how old were you ?

  • You dont know how to jump dude you have the ability but your teqnique is a little off

  • nice man congrats

  • get ur head up to 9'3 and u can only catch alleys. dog if i could get that high up id be windmilling wit eaaaze. ur arms are probs short as fuck :p

  • @CrossedOVER6 Yeah i guess...My arms are one feet and 4 inches.

  • Man it's not about you jumping higher,It's that your Ball handling was terrible.if you played Real basketball your handling would've been a lot better (Lay ups) and then dunking would've been a lot easier for you.

  • @SkillCappedVision

exactly, it would also help your approach, you need to accelerate more through your take off and you seem to really slowdown and you dont explode enough you need to focus more on your reactive strength.

  • good job man. im on the same road im about 4-5 inches standing jump but im working onit

  • i made myself a promise that im gonna dunk between legs till end of school like half a year ago. still 2 years left :D... lol college is late.... should have started working on it while still very young...

  • Maaan my first dunk was age late 13...im blessed with awsome hops haha

  • I first dunked on a 10 foot goal when I was 15 years old (Sophmore in High School). By the end of college? That's hella late.

  • @cashflowdro thats exactly when i started, now i am a 15 year old junior dunking everything

  • 0:53 it doesnt even look like your trying to jump:O

  • Nice job man. I am white, did my first dunk at 14 when I was 5'10". Then I broke my knee playing football... I'm 31 now and I've been trying to get to those heights again. Your video gives me some motivation :)

  • honestly you have better hops then me you just werent jumping right lol from the looks of it you couldve dunked a year ago

  • im white and i could dunk when i was 13 hahaha

  • hahaha im in gr 10 and had my first dunk this weekend

  • Nice Job, i just got surgery and am trying to get my jumping ability back

  • YOU HAVE 0 VERTICAL

  • dude im sorry but you are at least 185-190centimeters tall and i'm 175centimeters and i dunk and im not black

  • @xXxNoNamexXx96 yea well, i'm 200cm, can dunk, but rarely, when good rested. I have some problems with my knee joints, which affect my quickness and explosiveness. Therefore i can't dunk easily.

  • great job man u should be proud my first dunk made me go crazy keep workin

  • you gottta jump from More Distance

  • @hud2nv do you do anything in the weight room to help with your vert? what are your numbers like? any videos of yourself jumping or lifting?

  • wats that instrumental song at 2:30?? anyone??

  • im doing squats...will that help mi to jump higher?????plese i need to know...

  • @TheDJmusicProduction yea squats and getting your legs stronger will help. pm me if you want to talk more

  • @nba8340 ok...thanks

  • @TheDJmusicProduction get on the jump manual breh, thanks to that i dunkin on niggaz

  • @TheDJmusicProduction "Jump Squats" helped me a lot. (You can do these without any weights) Just squat, and jump as high as you can, then repeat for about 45 seconds.

  • it took him four years to dunk.. im not ganna listen to him. or go to his little website

  • if ur hitting ur head on the 9'3 backboard, you honestly should be dunking alot harder. but congratz on finally reaching your goal i can only feel happy for you bro

  • im 5,5 and i can bearly touch the backboard,is that good?

  • @TheDJmusicProduction HELL YEH!!!! PEOPLE THAT ARE 6 FOOT CANT DUNK!!

  • Comment removed

  • @RandomXxAnimexX and im 12,would i be able to dunk at age 15

  • @TheDJmusicProduction i'd say if you practice everyday and go on most youtube videos maybe 13!!

  • @RandomXxAnimexX i dont practice,im just trying to jump everyday...

  • @TheDJmusicProduction okay well i suggest you go on destorm's how to increase your vertical then you will fly trust me

  • 40 inch jump ? you running vetrical is max 18 inch standing 15 fucking low rim and if you want to jump high go gym

  • nice dunks. you could have done it every time though if you concentrated more on putting it down rather than grabbing the rim

  • wow man that video is motivating me to jump higher!

  • congratulations man; i can dunk sometimes now jump manual and vjb worked :) now im movin on to flying in four after my back gets better :/

  • what songs did you use?

  • nice job man, I can relate to your quest I am currently halfway done my college and also have a goal to dunk by the end of college, ive went from grazing the rim to dunking a volleyball (although to be honest I gained most of those inches purely from natural strength gains) however this summer i really want to gain those last few inches, so I am using the jump manual. What is weird is that my first dunk will probably be off the dribble because i have a mental block when it comes to alley-oopslol

  • @xiphonon good luck man, looking forward to seeing that first dnk

  • @xiphonon By the end of college?I'm still in the 9th grade and about to dunk. O.0...your too late.

  • nice, how tall are you?

  • Hey there, I am gonna start Flying in Four soon. How much did you gain from it? I actually have The Jump Manual and Vertfreak101 too. But I don't find Jump Manual's workout effective and I only have 8weeks to train so Vertfreak101 which is pretty good isn't time suitable. Do reply me mate! :D

  • @Egounix check out my flying in four results video, and read the description below it has all the info about it

  • yes !! hard work pays off, you're living proof.

  • how tall are you bro? Also i really wanna start dunking... if first year and 6 feet... is there any tips you can give me?

  • Congrats, bro.

  • my back hurts*...haha

  • @asi97 ???

  • @nba8340 never mind

  • Freakin awesome!!! Congratulations on putting it down and graduating!

  • @thewon888 thanks!

  • congrats man, well deserved. hard work pays off

  • @KeTexNBA thanks man, how's your training been going

  • Not bad bro! Congrats, Im still working hard to get my first dunk, esp on camera. I bet it must be an amazing feeling... Check my out btw, im 5'5, tore my acl a couple years ago but you know what i mean when i say the desire still burns. Keep it up.

  • @DE5TROY def. man, your jumping real high in your vids, just keep working at it, it'll come

  • congrats man!

  • @myjumpmanual thanks man, good work so far on the jump manual. Your wk 3 jumps look a hell a lot better and more powerful already .

  • @nba8340 thanks! the hard work is paying off! did you follow any specific program to increase your vertical?

  • great job

  • it took me 3 years to finally land a dunk too.

    nicee dunks.

im 16, check my videos out!

  • @onlydunk yea man, i'm subscribed to your channel and have seen you videos. you have some serious hops, and at only 16 you still have plenty of time to improve as well.

  • @nba8340 ahaa, thankss mann and congrats on your first!

  • im very happy you reached your goal. but the thing is,dunking is much more complicated than people think. its not strength(well, very little),its not plyometrics, and certainly 100% it is FORM and MUSCLE ACTIVATION. the most important thing is the key muscles activating at the right time and having perfect, yet relaxed form. you have to go from relaxed and explode using your muscle stretch reflex. squats and strength training only work if you activate the right muscles the right way and right time

  • @DjGoGo09 i understand with what you are saying, however i can tell you before i got real serious with the resistance and weight training i couldn't even touch rim. no matter how perfect my form and muscle activation was i wouldn't have been dunking then.

  • @nba8340 thats cuz u never really used those muscles in that way. all that resistance training did was activate those muscles that u havent been properly using during jumping, which is why you were able to get results. and after 3 years, you improved how much?

trust me man, i know this from experience. im almost 21 now and im just starting to really increase my vert with no strength training whatsoever. its about learning how YOUR body functions, not bodies in general.

  • @DjGoGo09 i agree that will help, as well as working on your form can make a big difference, which i think is what you are referring in big part to, but at a certain point you will need to get stronger and output more force in order to jump higher/run faster, whatever it is

  • @nba8340 yea exactly, but greater strength does not equal greater force output. i think for you to make big gains, you would have to extensively work on form and coordination, because when i see you run up and jump, it seem as if it is the first time you have ever done that, you know? it doesnt seem smooth and relaxed as it should be. just some constructive criticism for you... hope you can change this, as it will definitely get you more athletic

  • nice hanging on the rim ...... no man, the dunks were very good, keep up the good working, try to jump faster and you'll see the results, i'm 13, i can dunk volleyballs (i can't palm normal balls)....i'll post some videos on the next weeks, 'cause i know to talk not to show smth, so i want my friends to know what i can really do..... peace

  • @asi97 yea man that is some serious hops for a 13 year old, post up those vids

  • @nba8340 it isn't too much....about 30-31 inch vert because i'm heavy for my age, i need to take %fat off my body, i'm about 165lbs at 5'9(1.77m).....i need to work on my back muscles, my back hurt after a "dunking" session with the volleyball and.....it isn't quite good, i need to loose weight.....btw, i'll post that video next days, after the exams (i'm 8th grade)

  • @asi97 yea post the video, link it to me when you get it up

  • @asi97 i see it now, post up the vid man let's see what u got going on

  • @nba8340 here's the video (crappy quality) whatever, i'm going to post videos every 2 weeks ( or smth like that) to see my results..... /watch?v=A4zkpZE7rcc

  • I think you could dunk 1 month before graduation ! :) nice story. yo know how I know it ? because camera angle of "2 days until graduate" is the same as "1 day to graduate" and on the last day you were dunking there some really dope dunks. !!! but i trust that u trained 3 years+ ... congrats.

  • @23SLAVO23 I should have been able to throw one down for the last few months, but it just didn't happen. Also, the last month or two leading up to this i was doing high volume squatting so i wasn't that "fresh" when jumping during that time. yea i mean i got vids going back a few years showing me training and everything so you can check them out. only thing i wish is that i had a video of me when i just started training because at that time i was so so skinny and could't even touch rim.

  • I did just one dunk in my life ! that was a exactly year before and I always blow the ball to the rim since that. that sucks. what types of trainings you do ? ( i am 184cm and 90kgs)

  • @23SLAVO23 a lot of strength work, some plyos. it helps a lot to focus on what needs work. for most people getting stronger while practicing jump will help the most

  • @23SLAVO23 strength work with some plyos, o-lifts, it really helps to focus on what area is lacking and for most ppl strength is lacking and can also be improved most so just getting those legs stronger while practicing jumping will help improve vert

  • congrats bro! I was really rooting for you in the beginning of the video, it looked like you weren't gonna get it, rollercoaster ride and then at the end you got it. Better be windmilling soon

  • @TeriblyGifted thanks man, almost hit head on 9 3 foam there so i'm only like 8 inches away from hitting head on rim. i think that would be pretty sick

got a favor to ask you though, my form is still real bad. Think you could come over to ru and teach me how to jump. Wanna get my form to be as similar looking to yours as possible.

  • great job man, most of those dunk makes were real strong & clean, good shit.

  • @adarqui thanks yo, been a long time coming

  • sick video man. major congrats!

  • how tall r u

  • @DE5TROY 6 ft maybe 6 1 in the sneakers

  • yes nice. one handed and double handed dunks. two handed tomahawk is next

  • @RutgersDunker

yea, gonna need to get a few inches higher to do that

  • Nothin more congratulating than a first dunk man!

Nice job, you are now a part of an elite class of athletes

  • @NDJPro thanks man, appreciate it

  • FUCK YEAH!!!!

You so much earned this! Dunks went down nice and hard!

Really awesome , congrats on graduating too! :D

  • @Ben1O16

exactly what i was thinking. thanks a lot man, looking forward to seeing many more PR's and dunks from you
