The sound is awful, but John McGahern's work is beyond amazing. Ireland should embrace him and his work. I love 'That they may face the rising sun' - I mean, even the name of the novel is wonderful! God bless him. He is now in the company of his great friend John O'Donohue. I would love to hear their amazing conversations!
